Questa è Bonnie. Ha 14 anni e mezzo e solo 3 settimane fa ha avuto un ictus. Pensavamo davvero di perderla.
Ha smesso di mangiare completamente: abbiamo provato di tutto: cosce di pollo cotte, carne macinata cotta, più tutti i suoi piatti preferiti. Ma niente ha funzionato. È stato straziante. Alla fine, abbiamo dovuto somministrarle flebo solo per tenerla in vita, perché aveva dimenticato come si mangia.

Grazie alle medicine del veterinario e alla nostra incrollabile determinazione, guardatela ora! Mangia di nuovo, aspetta con ansia i suoi pasti e ci mostra il suo spirito combattivo ogni singolo giorno. Siamo più che fortunati ad averla ancora con noi. È stata una situazione difficile, ma ce l'ha fatta. Siamo così orgogliosi della sua resilienza e della sua forza 😘🐾😘🐾

This is Bonnie. She’s 14 and a half years old, and just 3 week s ago, she suffered a stroke. We truly thought we were going to lose her.
She stopped eating completely—we tried everything: cooked chicken thighs, cooked minced meat, plus all her favorites. But nothing worked. It was heartbreaking. Eventually, we had to give her IV fluids just to keep her going, because she had forgotten how to eat.

Thanks to the vet’s medication and our unwavering determination, look at her now! She’s eating again, eagerly waiting for her meals, and showing us her fighting spirit every single day.��We are beyond blessed to still have her with us. It was touch and go, but she pulled through. We’re so proud of her resilience and strength😘🐾😘🐾

GRAZIE DI CUORE 🌟
Ieri abbiamo vissuto uno dei momenti più spaventosi che si possano immaginare: un grave incendio è scoppiato nelle vicinanze e si è protratto fino alle prime ore di questa mattina. La paura che ci ha assalito è stata insopportabile, sapendo quanto fosse vicino raggiungere il nostro rifugio per animali. Il pensiero che i nostri cani e gatti fossero in pericolo era insopportabile.

Non ci sono parole per esprimere la nostra più profonda gratitudine all'incredibile squadra di vigili del fuoco volontari che è intervenuta quando ne avevamo più bisogno. Il loro coraggio e il loro altruismo hanno fatto la differenza. Non si sono limitati a combattere le fiamme, ma ci hanno dato tranquillità e hanno garantito la sicurezza di ogni vita affidata alle nostre cure.

Siamo rimasti calmi per il bene dei nostri animali, ma dentro di noi eravamo terrorizzati. Il loro benessere è tutto per noi. E grazie al rapido intervento di questi eroi di tutti i giorni, sono sani e salvi.
Ai nostri cari amici e sostenitori che ci hanno scritto: il vostro amore e la vostra premura sono di enorme importanza. In momenti come questi, è la vostra gentilezza a ricordarci che non siamo soli.

Yesterday we faced one of the scariest moments imaginable—a serious fire broke out nearby and blazed into the early hours of this morning. The fear that gripped us was overwhelming, knowing how close it came to reaching our animal shelter. The thought of our dogs and cats being in danger was unbearable.

Words cannot express our deepest gratitude to the incredible team of volunteer firefighters who stepped in when we needed them most. Their bravery and selflessness made all the difference. They didn’t just fight the flames—they gave us peace of mind and ensured every life in our care remained safe.

We stayed calm for our animals’ sake, but inside, we were terrified. Their wellbeing is everything to us. And thanks to the swift action of these everyday heroes, they’re safe and sound.
To our dear friends and supporters who have messaged us—your love and concern mean the world. In times like these, it’s your kindness that reminds us we’re not alone.

Questa mattina è arrivata una di quelle telefonate che nessuno vorrebbe mai ricevere…
Il nostro dolcissimo George ci ha lasciati. Aveva solo 12 anni.😭😭
Era un cagnolino buonissimo, un po’ timido, ma con il tempo – grazie all’amore e alla pazienza – aveva imparato a fidarsi e a lasciarsi accarezzare. È con un video in cui scodinzola sereno che vogliamo ricordarlo.
Un grazie speciale a tutte le mamme di George, che non l’hanno mai abbandonato e sono sempre state presenti, anche nei momenti più difficili.
Il dolore è grande, per noi e per la signora che lo ha seguito ogni giorno con dedizione e affetto.
George vivrà per sempre nei nostri cuori.❤️😭

Cari amici,

Vogliamo porgere i nostri più sentiti ringraziamenti ad alcune anime incredibilmente generose che ci sono state accanto.
Roberta, il tuo instancabile impegno nella raccolta fondi ha reso possibile sterilizzare tre gatti, due dei quali hanno dato alla luce nove piccole vite. E grazie anche per esserti assicurata che i quattro gattini dell'ultimo gatto adulto, salvato a sole 3-4 settimane di vita, fossero vaccinati e sverminati prima di essere trasferiti stamattina nelle loro amate case per sempre. La tua gentilezza ha cambiato le loro vite.

Enza, grazie per il tempo e la cura che hai dedicato oggi ai 4 gattini prima del loro viaggio verso le loro nuove famiglie. La tua gentilezza significa tantissimo.

Lorenza, grazie per esserti fatta avanti e aver coperto i costi della sterilizzazione di 2 gatti, Princess e Loren. E alle persone di buon cuore che ci hanno aiutato con la terza gatta, Sophia, il vostro supporto non è passato inosservato. Ti siamo davvero grati.

E Alessandra... la tua dedizione nell'alimentare i nostri cani negli ultimi mesi è stata un'ancora di salvezza. Non sappiamo davvero cosa avremmo fatto senza il vostro amore e la vostra cura.

Per ognuno di voi, la vostra compassione significa tutto per noi. Avete dato a questi animali sicurezza, salute e amore, e a noi avete dato speranza.

Roberta—your tireless effort in raising funds has made it possible to sterilise three cats, two of whom brought nine little lives into the world. And thank you for also making sure the four kittens from the final adult cat—rescued at just 3–4 weeks old—were vaccinated and wormed before heading to their loving forever homes this morning. Siamo addolorati per la perdita della nostra amata cagnolina, Pink. Era una parte così speciale della nostra vita qui a casa/rifugio e sarà per sempre amata e amata. Ha attraversato il ponte dell'arcobaleno ieri e oggi avrebbe compiuto 12 anni. Ci manchi, piccola. Sappi che ogni volta che il sole splenderà un po' più forte e sentiremo qualcosa come un naso caldo e umido sulle nostre mani, saprò che mi farai visita come un angelo 😇 perché questo è ciò che sei.

Buon compleanno celeste Pink, ti ​​amiamo per sempre e sempre 😘

We are heartbroken over the loss of our beloved dog, Pink. She was such a special part of our life here at our home/shelter and will forever be loved and cherished. She crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday and would have turned 12 years old today .We miss you baby girl. Know whenever the sun shines a little brighter and we feel something like a warm, wet nose on our hands, I will know that you are visiting me as an angel 😇 because that is what you are
