My obligatory summer reminder! Please pay attention to the temp of the ground your pup is walking on. You don’t always need to take them to that festival, show, parade etc. If it’s hot and the suns out, chances are it’s too hot for your pups paws. Test the ground with your hand to protect their paws.
I often see people walking dogs on extremely hot asphalt getting irritated with their pup because it won’t stand still and it won’t stop pulling on the lead, usually it’s because their paws are burning and they are trying to get to the shade. Don’t be those people this year 🙏🏻

This cutie, Mr. Tucker, just completed a lesson series! He has made many improvements on his behavior problems. He went from not being able to walk on a leash to giving you really good focus and having loose leash walking skills in public. He is no longer barking and pulling on leash with every person he sees 🙌🏻. We are still working on his reaction to seeing other dogs, but I am so proud of how far he and his owners have come! Great job to the owners Stuart and Stacy!! So proud of your hard work ☺️

This little cutie completed puppy training today! Maddi went from being a nippy, eat everything she sees, pulling on the leash, silly puppy, to having some manners, following commands, and walking politely on leash. Of course we still have some work to do, but she is on her way to being a wonderful big girl!
Great job Cora and Reza, y’all have done a phenomenal job with training!

We preach this at Alabama Dog Trainer. So many uncertainties and so little understanding of dog body language causes real and potentially big problems. What are some other ways you like to spend time with and socialize your pups?

The unfortunate truth is that, in many scenarios, this statement holds validity. Regardless of our dog's good behavior, the unpredictable nature of other dogs in the environment poses a risk to our pets.

A lack of understanding of canine body language is widespread, leaving numerous dogs feeling overwhelmed, overstimulated, and stressed in places like dog parks. These emotions can escalate and result in conflicts.

How do you choose to spend quality time with your dog, considering alternatives to the dog park?

Mr. Meech completed puppy classes! He is doing great with his moms on all his basic commands 🎉
I had so much fun working with this family. I really enjoyed watching Meech learn and the owners get excited and have fun with the training. It’s always fun when I get to build relationships and crack up laughing with my clients at our lessons 💕 I love my job 🩵💜

This may not look like much to some, but this big red ball of energy has come sooooo far! The fact that we are able to get inside Lowes and walk around calmly shows how much work Robin has been putting into her pup! Gordon started off hardly able to contain himself when people walked in his house, now he is able to walk in stores near people and not completely lose his mind in excitement 👏🏻 So proud of how far they have come and can’t wait to see them both continue to improve 🐾💕

This little cutie just went home from training with me for two weeks. Sammy made so many improvements since he arrived. From a scared, overly energetic, wild, counter surfing pup- to confident in cars, calm(er😂) in the house, and avoiding my food right at snoot level! I’m so excited to see where his family takes him in his training.
