It’s time to give back! Sun Rays of Strays is an amazing group that takes care of our area strays. You get to bid on the amazing cat artwork below made by our friend Mike Coolman. Bidding starts at $40 and the highest bidder wins the kitty of their choice. Bidding ends 3/12 @ 5:30pm. Winner will be announced soon after.

Ebony has been in her new home for a little over a week and as you can see, she is adjusting quite well!! 😻🖤

Where are they now❓
Do you remember baby Oskar? He's one of the first kittens adopted out by Sun Rays of Strays last fall. His mom works with Dr. Amanda at the vet clinic so he gets to go to work and help out now and then. Oskar has happily found his furever home.

Strays can become wonderful house pets! These 2 are Amanda Zoerner's personal dumpster kitties 🐈‍⬛ , Ciara (9yo) and Maybe (1yo). They were both rescued from dumpsters less than a year old and now live with a variety of other critters. With love ❤ and patience, we can work together to get as many strays homes as possible.

The stray hold for this sweetie has expired.. her humans have not come forward to claim her, so she is now up for adoption! 😻
We call her Jubilee and it fits her jubilant personality. Extremely friendly, young, spayed adult that would blend right into any family! Are you ready for some Jubilee in 2021?!? 🎊🎉

EAST JORDAN:
FOUND CAT
This cat was found on Friday in East Jordan hiding from the snow in a local residents shed. As you can see, she made herself very comfy at her rescuers house. She is very very friendly, and we are hoping there is a warm home patiently waiting awaiting her arrival.
BC/EJ road, Healey, Pleasant Valley, Bergman, Pearsall area.

Wanda is still looking for her furever home. She would prefer a quiet environment without other pets or maybe a barn where she can hunt. Her extra thumbs give her an advantage for that. Wanda has overcome trauma to her tail but know thinks every human hand is coming to medicate her. Not to worry, she relaxes quickly with a chin scratch but will need some patience and love to get her used to being a lap cat.

BISSELL Pet Foundation to bring Holiday Hope to 170 Animal Shelters Across the Country on December 9-12
You can adopt a pet and save a life for a reduced fee at a participating Empty the Shelters location near you
Despite this year’s challenges, BISSELL Pet Foundation (BPF) and the Charlevoix Area Humane Society has remained vigilant in its mission to find loving homes for shelter pets. On December 9-12, BPF is aiming to bring holiday hope to homeless pets across the country with its Empty the Shelters – Holiday Hope event. BPF will support nearly 170 shelters by offering reduced-fee pet adoptions.
BPF requires that adoption fees do not exceed $25; fees vary by location. County licensing and microchip registration fees may apply.
If interested in adopting from the CAHS you must have an approved application on file!

Trying to guage interest in Lupine collars, leashes and harnesses. Frequently seen in pet stores and Vet Clinics due to their superior quality and life time, no-questions-asked, replacement guarantee. They have several new lines including their Eco line made entirely of recycled plastic bottles. Let me just tell you, the fabric is SO SOFT. They also have the Reflective line without the stiff, crinkly reflective strip that falls off. This is woven into the fabric. All my pets wear Lupine if you want to check it out. If I get enough interest for an order, its usually here within a week. Prices vary by item but if you are interested in something, let me know.

Wanda is fully recovered from her surgeries and is ready to find her furever home.

Wanda is a special medical needs case. She has been in our care since late October when she was trapped with the bones in her tail exposed. She received surgery to remove the damaged tissue but had a rocky recovery. Fortunately, she is fully recovered and much friendlier than when first trapped. She is FIV and Feline Leukemia negative, Rabies vaccinated, spayed, given dewormer and flea prevention. Wanda has been with us a long time during her recovery and is now ready to find a permanent place to call home.
