A huge Shout Out of Thanks to Ruth / Stephanie from JAWS and to Antonia the Vet for the compassion to shown to “Mommy Cat” to have not only funded her front leg amputation but then to have Antonia to find a forever home for her is simply AMAZING

THE STOREY - Mommy Kitten is known in my neighborhood of Jimeana for having produced many litter of children currently wandering the area including 4 absolutely beautiful kittens that she gave birth to on my very small patio during March lockdown ( 2 of whom I have found forever homes for and 2 among others that I continue to feed and social them to other cats and my three German sheppards)

MOMMY CAT was subsequently Fixed (with full support from Jaws) and has recently only been coming around once / twice a week - SHE APPEARED Friday afternoon after the rain storm under a chair on my patio fully soaked and covered in mud but would not let me near her (and NORMALLY SHE IS VERY SWEET AND LOVES - CRAVES ATTENTION) I put out two sets of food for her while deflecting the others by feeding them at the same time BUT YOU COULD SEE SHE WAS IN PAIN and DISTRESS - later she moved herself higher up onto THE PATIO and then I was able to see why she was so distressed
SHE HAD A BROKEN LEG with about a 1/2 to 3/4 inch BONE PROTRUDING right thru the skin and as it turned out it had Not just happened - SATURDAY OFF WE WENT TO ANTONIA and unfortunately the LEG was too far gone but ANTONIA and her colleagues got MOMMY CAT thru the amputation and I was totally thrilled when Stephanie called me to tell me that ANTONIA was asking me whether it would be okay if she placed Mommy Cat with someone who wanted to adopt her - HELL YEAH BEST NEWS - “ made my day - week - month “
