Everybody here loves to be brushed especially now that they’re shedding their winter coats. Trinket and Tabitha are both so conveniently small, it’s much easier to brush them when I’m sitting down!🤗🫏🥰

HAY needed! The donkeys are worried they will run out of hay. We’re getting low and need to replenish their supply! We try to keep about 34 bales in this space. Having a good supply of hay will make the donkeys very happy and worry free, as donkeys should be! The cost of a bale is roughly $10. Every single bale counts! Please donate a bale or two if you can. Wow, it was outrageously windy today! Here is Tabitha, Trinket, and Tilly at the end of the day. The wind was blowing all kinds of things around. One of the doors had its hinges bent. So I took it down.
Otherwise everything is good. Spring is almost here!!!🌿🌷🌼🌸 🌱

Happy News!!!
October 2023 - when Nikki arrived, her hooves weren’t in great shape and she was diagnosed with white line disease in her right front hoof. The infection was destroying her little hoof. So right away we started trying a variety of home treatments in combination with guidance
and consistent hoof trims by Zach, the farrier.
March 2025 - Zach was here yesterday for hoof trims and pronounced Nikki’s hoof free of white line disease! 🥳 🙌🎉🫏🥳
Now our job is to keep it that way with regular hoof maintenance!!
Hoof care is love!❤️

Yesterday I was getting some boxes ready for recycling when I thought: Oh! I bet the donkeys would enjoy doing this much more than I do!
So I took the boxes out to the donkeys and gave them the job of breaking down the boxes.
Instructions were: do NOT eat the boxes. I just need them flattened.
All was going as planned until Mary did something I had not anticipated.

Daisy was out pruning the roses today. She is such a good helper, keeping the garden in good shape through the winter. Spring is just 3 weeks away!❤️

Watching the donkeys interactions is one of my favorite things to do.👀
Here in this video, we have Quigley and Francis ( two johns- geldings) playing in their usual rough and tumble style. Then we have two jennies, Carmen and Blanca, whose typical interactions are very different from the boys.❤️❤️❤️❤️
