Super proud of our members competing at Blenheim Palace Eventer Challenge on Friday.
Arabella in the 100cm was 9th and our sole rider in that class. In the 90cm Will, Rose, Ellie and Mila all rode beautifully and finished 8th team with Mila in 2nd individual spot. Fabulous riding by all of them in what were big competitive classes.
Thanks to Karen Nicolas Eacock for course walking and warming up our riders.

A fun mini rally at Sandfield Farm yesterday - mini farm badge completed, a hack, a picnic, a play in the wood and ice cream....AND the Joint DC’s famous banana bread cake.... a perfect way to end to the summer holidays for our minis🐴👌

A small but mighty group of NCHPC members competed at Area Dressage today. Well done Ellie, Mary, Will (Novice), Jemima (Open) and Emily (Grassroots) on your turn out and team spirit. Both Ellie and Jemima finished 3rd in their sections/classes and qualified for the P.C. Champs. Very well done 👏 thanks to the Croome Pony Club for hosting a great event.

Amazing efforts and 19 ponies that behaved impeccably. So hard to choose from pirates, fairies, wizard of Oz, little red riding hood, Rapunzel, Athena, a Lama! .. but the winner had to be the little 🧜♀️

There are lots of fun classes for riders 16yrs and under: Show jumping with a mini SJ ring, Ride and Run class, Fancy Dress, Gymkhana, Working Hunter and family dog show.
Entries on the day but you cal also can pre-enter the SJ Classes and Working Hunter classes online at Horse Events website.
Times for Arena Eventing at Unicorn are on Horse Events.
Course walking can be done in the 15min gap between the classes.

AT LONGDOLE POLO CLUB,
BIRDLIP, GL4 8LH
ON TUESDAY 9TH APRIL 2024
All ridden instruction for this event will take place in the Longdole purpose built enclosed polo arena on a surface
This ‘taster’ is suitable for all members of the Pony Club as a ‘Have a go’ session for those new to polo. Everyone will be grouped according to age
Training will consist of a combination of fun and educational sessions covering:
Polo Rules & Tactics/Polo specific Stable Management/wooden horse/hand sticks/polo riding/arena stick & ball
Bring your own ‘fluffy’ (14.2hh or under) to have a go or schoolmaster polo ponies are available to hire – please contact Longdole Polo Office 01452 864544
Half sticks, small full size sticks, bandages and tape can all be provided.
Numbers will need to be limited and entries will be taken on a ‘first come’ basis.
Cost £50 per person
There is a Pony Club polo training grant of £25 per person available for players new to polo and a separate grant for those under 14 years old on their own ‘fluffy’. Details and claim forms will be available to collect in the Clubhouse on the day.

Last weekend four of our members did our pony club branch proud at the pc Spring Festival. Having qualified in Area 9, Ellie, Izzy, Jess and Skye competed in large classes against pc members from across the country.
A great experience for all and huge thanks to the families and Ben Darby Equestrian for supporting our riders.
In the Arena Eventing 80cm Ellie finished 32nd, Jess 36th, Izzy 45th and Skye 60th. Jess also finished 50th in the 80 SJ.
Well done all!

New rule showing automatic qualification to PC Champs Eventing if you achieve the four criteria! 👌
New rule #7
If you achieve ALL FOUR of the below criteria you will automatically have a place at the CHAMPIONSHIPS!
This will provide more opportunities for riders at this level to qualify without the worry that there aren’t enough competitors to make up numbers for qualifying positions.
*** if the whole section achieve the below they will all qualify, if you don’t achieve the below criteria, you may still be in a qualifying position depending on number of starters in your class***
👨🏫 Are you thinking of taking the first step in your coaching career or looking to develop existing coaching skills?
🐴 Our coach bursary scheme is now open to applicants for its second year. We want to support you to enable more participants to enjoy equestrian sport.
💸 The bursary can cover up to 50% of the course and/or assessment fees for a range of general riding and discipline-specific qualifications offered by our member bodies.
