Stephen Welsh- The Puppy Barber, Owner and Founder

Steve has been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years that was in need of a groomer for his large dogs and could not find anyone who was willing to groom them. He ultimately had to groom them himself on the floor of a bathroom in his basement, and this is where an idea started to brew.

In January 2020 following the recent death of a close friend at a very young age, Steve was reminded that we are not promised tomorrow! It was then he consulted with his family and The Puppy Barber became more than an idea!

Starting with grooming dogs in driveways out of his own personal vehicle with a portable wash tub, The Puppy Barber has expanded to 15 employees staffing 4 state of the art self contained salons in just 4 years.

Steve has attended multiple conferences and educational seminars to enhance his own grooming skills and continues to broaden his portfolio daily with experience.

We were asked to help a fellow dog lover looking to rehome two dogs. She is to relocating and unable to take the dogs with them.

This is the information she provided: They’re both girls. They are up-to-date on their shots and they are about 6 to 7 years old, the black one would need to be alone. She does not get along well with other dogs. The other one does and they have been outdoor dogs.
