My old lady was in for a spruce up yesterday ready for our farewell photoshoot today
I was rubbish at taking photos as I was a bit sad 😞
But she scrubbed up beautifully and is so soft and silky 🥰
I was really pleased by how well the stain remover brought up her tail which probably hasn’t been washed in about 4 years 🙈
It was heavily stained but it came up really well if I gave it another run through it would have likely got the ends clean too but I wanted to get ween ridden before the light disappeared 🙈 who is still feeling like velvet after her bath the other day

I used the Alva tea tree shampoo on her body and legs followed by Alva sparkle coat shine
Then the infamous Alva dazzle on her mane and tail to make them silky smooth 🥰

Arwen otherwise known as we**ie 🫶🏼
I’ve had her for just over 7 years now, I was very fortunate to be able to purchase her from friends of mine who bred her and I’ve known her from day 1
She’s a TB x cob and we do a bit of everything she’s as safe as houses even though she has got a really good buck and bronk on her occasionally 🤣
She’s also terrified if a blade of grass is facing the wrong way 🤣
Shes recently come back into work after a few months off while I was recovering from a knee injury

I thought I’d introduce my team as I’d love to see what animals you have at home too!

First up is my golden oldie Princess 👑
She’s 16.2/3 I’ve owned her for must be nearly 10 years now 😱
Although she’s been retired for over 7 years now, due to arthiritis and soundness issues. she’s my favourite naughty overgrown pony. I occasionally tack her up just for a laugh because even though she’s 26 this year she acts like a 3 year old 🤣

She’s in her winter woolies as we’ve only been back in action for around 6 weeks

She was REALLLLY greasy and looked white when I started to brush her, so I boiled a kettle put some AlvaSparkle in it and hot clothed her, let it dry and brushed it with a body brush 🫶🏼
You wouldn’t even know she’s been living out from these pics

And just look at her tail 😍

Hot clothing
This is my favourite hack as a groom
Hot water a capful or two of Alva sparkle coat shine
A cloth or ideally a bit of hessian sack rub all over the coat, let it dry brush with a body brush and watch your pony sparkle 🥰
They will also be as soft as a floofy kitten 😍

I also use this within my full groom to get the grease out of the coat 😀 of which I will be doing a video of what my full groom consists of

Pre clipping regime

BATH YOUR PONY 👌🏼 scrub with a rubber curry comb with our tea tree shampoo
This removes the grease and any dirt from deep in the coat, this is the main reason for clippers snagging and not doing a good job 🙈

Once you’ve bathed spray your pony with AlvaSparkle this will make your pony’s coat smooth, slippery and super shiny ✨

Let your pony dry completely don’t try to clip even a slightly damp horse 🐎

The clipper blades will glide through the coat like a hot knife through butter 🧈

We all seem to be suffering at the hands of the weather 🌧️💨
A quick fix to clean up those tails without bathing 🧼
Add a cap or two of AlvaCleanse NO rinse wash to a bucket of water 💦
Dunk the tail in and let soak for a few mins, swirl around, take out and shake.
Give the tail a guide spin to remove excess water, spray with AlvaDazzle and brush / comb through.
In less than 5 minutes a clean knot free tail 💜

When you're just chilling taking a video and have to grab the reins because a stick got your pony 🤣 Pony was unharmed At rising 24 you'd think she knew better 🤦🏼‍♀️
