I always enjoy watching Rhyley work and Grab point.Proud Dad moment.
I have heard that dogs will sometimes lick their lips when they understand what is going on. Interesting, I am going to watch for this more.

It was a busy weekend for us at Northern Warriorz , 7 out of 10 of our Rebel / Hank litter tested for NA .
Words can not describe how proud of all the puppy families we have .You all have gone above and beyond what a breeder is looking for.Thank you so much for your time exposing this litter to prepare them for testing at only 5 months.
As of now this litter has earned ,
3 pz 1
3 pz 2
1 pz 3 Who earned all max scores until a difficult track took its toll.Unfortunately tracking is always a roll of the dice due to so many variables.
Would also like to give a shout out to Minnesota Chapter of NAVHDA for putting on a great test including all of the volunteers and Judges needed to make it go so smoothly.

Today was an exciting day watching the 1st puppy run her Navhda natural ability test ,of the Vc Thunderhills Hank/Vc Northern Warriorz Heavy Metal Outlaw (Rebel) breeding. Watching this puppy tear up the field and stand point to a bird approximately 30 yards out was unbelievable at only 4.5 months.

Today we tried something new at the TCGWPC designated specialty held by the Cambridge Minnesota Kennel Club, Rebel was awarded Winners Bitch for a 4pt major under judge Mrs Betsy Yates.

This weekend we were Blessed with 8 puppies of the VC Hardwire Hank/VC Rebel litter for a training weekend preparing for their Navhda Natural ability test.
This is becoming a very Exciting adventure watching these 19 week puppies expanding search to near 100 yds, hitting the field with purpose, holding point with outstanding intensity,yielding the cooperation it takes til we get to there to harvest the bird they earned. Watching the natural retrieve drive kick in at the water was amazing to see with some anticipating the retrieve and hitting the water before the toss.
Tracking was amazing and it is heartwarming to see the effect of these puppies family efforts.
We want to Thank everyone for attending and the work they are putting into the Hank/ Rebel family.
Thank you Jeff Paulus of Thunderhills Kennel for attending and making this breeding possible the hunt in this litter is beyond amazing.
Best of luck to everyone testing including Becky and Ash testing as early as next week.
Aspen unfortunately not available for the Group photo But her family was a huge help in supplying the pheasant used for tracking, he is now a well trained to heel trackingbird😆😆. Thank you Matt and Sara.

As we continue to train with Rebel towards the Navhda invitational we were fortunate enough to attend a clinic geared towards the highest level of the North American Versatile Hunting Dog association. This is one of her setup backing sequence where dogs are basically expected to point and Honor another dog to not scare the bird the pointing dog is holding, or interfere with the harvest of the bird. Things to note are Rebel identified the initial plant of the bird as we came up the hill when she paused on point for a second then began tracking that bird til she saw the other dog on point.hoping on the big test day to have a couple sequence like this not set up for her field pass. Brian Karr and his Versatile Champion Duke (on point) did an amazing job on this sequence. A huge Thank you to Navhda president Tim Otto and Tim Clark for hosting the clinic, also Minnesota chapter President Pete Aplikowski for making this opportunity available and photo credits.
Wonderful weekend camping with family and playing water games with the dogs.everytime we let Riot in the water he broke into duck search. Seeing his frustration we started him on bucket drills for something constructive to do.the drive in this 6 month thunderhills Hank/Wyowires Remi pup amazes me.
Very excited of how Riots water work is coming along,5 months today 4th time in the water.this boy is crazy for ducks.Wyowires Legend at Northern Warriorz.

(Wyowires Legend at Northern Warriorz) aka Riot.4 days ago I was worried that we only have 1 month til his natural ability test but after the last 2 nights I am very excited we still have a month of exposure til test day lol. Absolutely amazed with this 18 wk dual Versatile Champion pup of VC Hardwire Hank/VC Wyowires Remi the drive and natural ability is unbelievable
