Phone calls, text messages, and social networks have their place. But nothing quite compares to the stress-busting, mood-boosting power of quality face-to-face time with other people, especially those you love and people who energize you. So if you're feeling stressed or not quite yourself, find some time this week to connect with a friend in-person!

Science has proven time and again that nature has a profound effect on our minds and bodies. Unless you are a dog owner or are already keenly aware of the benefits, nature walks are probably something that you don't do enough!
Walking in nature can make you happier. Here's how:
*Improved sleep. Sunlight helps regulate your body's melatonin production, which in turn will contribute to a better night's sleep.
*Enhanced creativity. Going for a walk means you're engaging in a form of low-level activity. You need to think a little about where you're going and keeping your feet coordinated, but nothing too strenuous. So your mind is freed up to daydream, form new ideas, and think creatively.
*It helps you unplug. Leave your phone behind or turn on 'do not disturb' in order to really step into the quiet world of nature away from the business of life.
*Increased production of vitamin D. Walking outside increases your production of vitamin D. Vitamin D can help boost other hormones that improve mood.
Check back next week for a few more benefits of nature walks!
Slow down this Sunday. You could:
☀️go for a nature walk, focusing on your surroundings
☀️keep a journal, meditate and/or practice mindfulness
☀️make time to do nothing, take naps, daydream
☀️make reading part of your night routine
☀️give yourself time off (no work, no electronics).
What are you going to do to relax today?
