About the Trainer:
Amanda Posen, CPDT-KA is a certified professional dog trainer through the Certfication Council for Professional Dog Trainers and has over 13 years of professional dog training experience. Her passion for dog training sparked when she was just 8 years old, volunteering as a guide dog puppy raiser with Guide Dogs of America. She graduated from Moorpark College's Exotic Animal Tra
ining and Management (EATM) program in 2010 and holds degrees in Exotic Animal Training and Management, Animal Behavior Management, and Wildlife Education. Throughout her professional career, Amanda hasn't strictly worked as a private in-home dog trainer. She has studio training experience and has instructed basic obedience and dog training classes based on production style behaviors. Amanda also has worked at a horse rescue and trained volunteers, underprivileged children, and those with special needs, to care for the animals at the rescue. Why ARF? When you contact Amanda, rest assured that the experience will be fun – for both you and your four-legged friend. Her training is rooted in positive reinforcement and rewards, an emphasis that evolved naturally starting as a puppy raiser at age 8. Amanda’s training philosophy, based on many years of proven success, is that dog training is a lifestyle and not a set of basic obedience skills. She is dedicated to helping pet-parents and their dogs achieve their training goals to live as a happy family. Amanda encourages her clients to use the skills she teaches them for everyday life while building a stronger bond with their dog. For this reason, she works with pet-parents that are as dedicated as she is to the training process, a process that lasts throughout the lifetime of their dog. Amanda's training approach is what ARF Dog Training stands for: Actively Reinforcing Fun! Have fun training WITH your dog while proactively rewarding them for good behavior.
