“These two boys are from the same parents, boy on the left was paediatric neutered and the other has stayed intact. As you can see, the development the right pup has compared to the left is undeniable, from his skull width, to his chest and shoulders.
This is the development pups will lose out on when desexing before full maturity.”

Romania has four dog breeds*, and three of them are recognized by the FCI. You’re about to “meet” the breed that isn’t, the Romanian Raven Shepherd Dog. Known colloquially in its native Romania as the Corb (corb = raven in Romanian, so named for the breed’s inky black coat covering 80% of ...

Dogs have been domesticated for over 30,000 years. Kibble has only been around for 100 years.. So, please, tell me again how dogs are designed to eat kibble and that raw food is dangerous?

Posted • PET PRODUCT ALERT! New products added to the list of concern!

A chemical, Titanium Dioxide, used in top-selling pet foods, treats, and supplements should no longer be considered safe for consumption due to concerns over its ability to damage DNA, according to a new animal-model study.

A scientific panel created by the European Food Safety Authority determined, “Taking into account all available scientific studies and data, the Panel concluded that titanium dioxide can no longer be considered safe as a food additive. A critical element in reaching this conclusion is that we could not exclude genotoxicity concerns after consumption of titanium dioxide particles. After oral ingestion, the absorption of titanium dioxide particles is low, however they can accumulate in the body”.  The panel concluded that titanium dioxide has the potential to damage DNA and cause chromosomal damage. The Environmental Working Group called on the US Food and Drug Administration to quickly consider whether to ban titanium dioxide from use in food.

A chemical that may damage our pet's DNA should not be fed to pets. Brands that use this chemical don’t put it in all SKU’s, so check your labels to make sure it’s not in anything you feed your pets.
Titanium dioxide is #9 on The Forever Dog’s Dirty Dozen list of additives you need to avoid in your pet food.

Modern Dog Foods Cause Dental Disease

Bone eating dogs of the early 1900s had very few dental problems. When dogs eat bones, they rip and tear and crunch, their teeth and gums are exercised, cleaned and massaged.

Contrast that with today’s non-bone-eating dog in which dental disease is reaching epidemic proportions. The foods eaten by dogs today, cooked and processed foods, are high in one substance; carbohydrates. This unusual (for a dog) nutrient, attack a dogs mouth at every meal. In addition, processed foods have no chance of cleaning teeth the way raw meaty bones do.

Look in your dogs mouth. Give it a whiff! What you see and what you smell depend on your dogs eating habits. Dogs that regularly eat bones have healthy mouths. The mouths of dogs that eat processed and cooked foods are definite no-go zones.

Veterinary dentistry is an increasing source of income for vets as more dogs spend their lives eating processed foods and no bones. Ask yourself this, do you think it’s natural to put your dog under general anaesthetic once a year to have your pets teeth cleaned…?

By the time many modern dogs are 5 years old, their teeth are covered with a thick crust of tartar.

Tartar is home to millions of bacteria.

The bacteria in the tartar thrive on the soluble carbohydrates found in commercial dog food. They invade the gums, the tooth roots and the tooth enamel causing severe gum infection (gingivitis) and generalised mouth infections accompanied by tooth root decay, pain, difficulty in eating, rotten breath and eventually loss of teeth.

The bottom line is, the combination of no bones and commercial dog foods is devastating to the health of all pet dogs because of its effect on dental health.

Below you can see the difference between a raw fed dog (top picture) and a kibble fed dog (bottom picture). Says it all really doesn’t it……

135 degrees 😱😱

Scorching surfaces are especially damaging to puppies with sensitive young paws. So how hot is too hot for a dog's sensitive paw pads?
