If you plan on gathering with friends and/or family this week for US Thanksgiving, there are a number of things you can do to keep your dog (and your visitors) safe.

Remember, there is nothing "wrong" with your dog if you need to manage amid all the chaos; that is 100% normal. Many dogs don't do well with large gatherings, changes to their routine and all the tempting food readily available.

✨We have exciting news!✨

Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of dogs in need? 🐶💝We are thrilled to announce our latest initiative: Sponsored Hikes for pups in animal shelters!

On average, dogs stay in the shelter for a month before they’re adopted, sometimes even longer. Our sponsorships are a fantastic way for you to help provide quality time for these dogs, in the hands of an experienced dog handler! These sponsorships are designed to help shelter dogs cope with the stress of the kennel environment and equip them with skills they’ll need to thrive in their forever home.

Our skilled and compassionate team coordinates with Peoria County Animal Protection Services to take the most in- need shelter dogs out for an adventure to a nearby park, where we’ll focus on enrichment and decompression through a “sniffari” type walk, reward- based games, and exploration. We’ll then return the pup to the shelter feeling rejuvenated and enriched!
