4-05-20 – This is why we thought "Midnight" was in heat. This went on through out several nights while waiting for her vet appt! (her crate was in my room)
12-8-19 — Major breakthrough with little Grover: last night she was relaxed & purring! Her 3rd or 4th time being handled. This morning she’s purring away & playfully batting at my hand 💗 {turn up volume to hear kitten purrs :):)}
This handsome cat is ZIGGY! He was rescued by Karin & was thought to be feral but he's adjusting to indoor life & it turns out is quite sweet! He's 3-5 yo, fully vetted, FIV+. It's unknown how he gets along with other cats/dogs. Please consider adopting Ziggy, he needs a loving home with someone special <3

The cat shed before the cats moved in & the cats exploring their new home!
Hello Friends! It's been a while since the last update. Work on the cat habitat continues! I switched focus from the yard to the big shed so the cats could get in before it got too cold. It still needs a few details done but 6 of the Brentsville Store Ferals have moved in & they are LOVING IT! They are so happy to be out of the crates & reunited with their family (they're a close group). Their personalities are more evident now that they're free to move around the cat house (9.5x16'). Two are v friendly & adoptable!
To everyone who donated $ & supplies - Thank You! About half the materials for the interior of the big shed were donated & salvaged/found.
From a grassy overgrown plot to a comfy cat cottage, it's been a lot of work. After several coats of paint, I saw dozens of nails sticking out through the ceiling. For protection & add'l insulation, I lined the ceiling with salvaged plywood. After painting & installing that, the linoleum was laid down, then furnishings, dishes, supplies, cat beds, etc were set up.
The cat yard Phase I is very close to completion, then on to the small shed, cat yard Phase 2, & wiring for electricity.
