Some PA practice at Wally world. Working on checking in frequently and tightening up heelwork.
Hour and a half long session today at Petsmart. We worked on lots of downstays, and greeting people appropriately. (Side note: Gunner met a family of dark-skinned people and was startled/barked at first, but was totally fine once I gave them some treats to feed him) :)
Had a lazy night tonight just practicing some obedience outside.
Yesterday I forgot to post but we had a great hour long session at Home Depot. We did heelwork and downstays and greeted a few employees. Getting better and more confident all the time!
Gunner's second day here, the weather was nasty out so we went to Petco to train indoors and refresh his obedience. He is catching on quick- we did heelwork and stays and pass by other dogs. Super proud of him. :)
Gunner's first time off leash with Jasper and Sweetie. They will be best buds in no time.
Updates.
He slept like a champ through the night, in his nice comfy kennel. Woke up this morning, went potty, had a nice Chuck It session. Went back in to relax for a bit until it got unbearably hot....so he had his first swimming lesson. He seemed to like it :)
Missy (Gunner's future handler) here.
We are preparing to fly him here to his new home on the 11 June 2017. In the meantime I sent a fancy new kennel, with airline travel kit to his current home. As you can see here he is getting acclimated to his kennel and is super exctied to learn (thank you Danyelle Rhoy for the video). He has his vet appointment to get his health certificate later this week. We couldn't be more excited and are counting down the days!
