IMPORTANT

Update to the adoption process!
Reservation specifically*
AR is changing its reservation process. It’s something I’ve been thinking about doing for quite awhile and am just cementing now.

BEFORE-
The process worked as I posted availability pictures and everyone on the waitlist who was an approved adopter got to speak for rats they wanted, working first come first serve upon the pictures being posted.

NOW-
I will go in order of families/adopters being added to the waitlist. I’ll go down the line letting adopters pick their rats until the rats are all spoken for.

The rest of the process (being approved, pick up day, etc) is still the same. Waits for babies are still long and hard to predict, but now are more equal between adopters. This new procedure is being chosen because I believe it makes the process more fair, and it makes it easier on me and you too.
For the two current litters I will contact those already on the waitlist and let them know what order they are in over the next few days to week, as reservations can happen soon.
There is a possibility I will be able to open the waitlist but am unsure yet.
I have updated pictures as well, as the babies have grown a lot! 🐀 💕

I will update the pinned post and website when I have time

Two boys have become available. Born on Boxing Day.
$100 for the pair. One red eyed white, one cinnamon. Both velveteen.

Priority will be given to those already on the waitlist to be fair to those waiting the longest 🙂

To those waiting oh so patiently, I believe I do have a pregnant doe as well. Fingers crossed 🤞

Wine litter update. Gorgeous colours coming in. The lone male is another one of our beautiful harlequins. I will be sad to see him go!

Beetlejuice litter update (Nakoa litter).
First four pics are Lydia (female) and last three are Beetlejuice (male). Lydia is a satin with a small white marking on her chest (“Irish”). Beetlejuice is a velv satin self. Both are Russian Blue.

Wine litter update. The babies are doing amazing, so is mum. All are fat and happy, and Foxtrot is still sweet as can be. We have pigment coming in on the babies, and the lone boy is the darkest. Three dark eyes and one light eye. All are satin, no velv this time.
This litter is all spoken for, by people on the waitlist.

Depending on how many Bluey has we may or may not be able to open the waitlist back up 🤞

Reminder*
The lone boy in this litter will go with Beetlejuice from Nakoa’s litter.
Two of the girls from this litter will go together.
Then the final girl will go with Lydia from Nakoa’s litter.
We don’t adopt out singletons 🙂
Babies will be ready to go to knew homes in 6-8 weeks depending on what pairs they are.

Finally we have babies in the nursery again! Foxtrot welcomed four perfect beans on the 8th. Three girls and one boy. The lone male will go with Beetlejuice and one female will go with Lydia, leaving the two sisters as a pair.

One of these sweeties is from the Dance Litter, the other two from the Bluey Litter.

Lydia and Beetlejuice moved into the adults’ cages, and all went well.
Just waiting for a litter off of Foxtrot so Lydia and Beetlejuice can be paired with babies of the same s*x to go to forever homes with.
Bluey has also been paired up for the first time 🤞

Recently I ordered some tubing to put in the rats’ cages and they absolutely love it. As for their old coconut hides, the boys love shoving as many of themselves in there as they can 😂

Hopefully we will have babies soon, and those on the waitlist can get theirs. I know the wait can be hard ❤️ It’s hard for me too! 🐀 💕
With other responsibilities winding down, I will be able to get back to more frequent posting.

It’s a very happy birthday to Saint and his two sisters! 🐀 🎉 💕
This goofball is my favourite rat in the rattery, I will openly admit. I think he knows it too. I’m glad his son is just like him.

The ratties trying pumpkin for the first time! Most loved it, though some did not. We have plenty pieces from carving pumpkins and making pie, plus it is very healthy in reasonable amounts so I wanted to see if they liked it.
(We grow our own pumpkins so I know there are no pesticides)

Remember that rats cannot have most candy, and even the kinds they can have in small amounts really aren’t beneficial ❤️
