Markley, the most unique and adorable little shaggy dog from Washington, DC, recently completed his 3-Week Board & Train with RSK9 Trainer Britney!

Before training, Markley’s mom expressed some legitimate concerns regarding Markley’s lack of impulse control, as well as his reactivity on leash and towards adult men. Roo just graduated our 5 week Service Dog Prep Program where we focused on really tightening his obedience skills and making sure he can be neutral to very challenging, highly distracting environments! Roo was such a fun little guy and he truly thrived with the concept of having a “job”.

At the conclusion of training, we conducted a Public Access Test with Roo and his mom as a team, which they passed with flying colors!

With their new home being in a much more urban area, they wanted to ensure Gunner would be reliable and under control with his obedience.

Mr. Blue joined us for a 3 week behavioral Board and Train to work on his resource guarding and impulse control. At just 5 1/2 months old, Blue had already begun to show some very inappropriate behavioral issues towards his owners and was actively making efforts to bite them.

During his time with me, we worked on establishing clear communication, rules and boundaries, as well as beginning to properly condition him to a muzzle. Blue’s owners now have the education and guidance to be able to effectively communicate with him, while not having a negative impact on their relationship with their dog!

Being a young untraditional breed used for service work, it was imperative that Beauty’s obedience and neutrality in public was exceptional in order to pass the Public Access Test with her handler.

Ollie’s family primarily wanted to send him to training because they had started to show some leash reactivity on walks, as well as just general manners and impulse control.

Ollie was a typical hound dog and was extremely distractible at the start of training - all this boy wanted to do was follow his nose! After 3 weeks with me, Ollie learned how to look to his humans for guidance and leadership and his owners learned how to better communicate their expectations to him!

Piper came to training to primarily address her reactivity and nervous energy. Despite her mom’s best efforts, she had been unsuccessful in finding ways to effectively communicate her expectations to Piper, as well as provide clear guidance for Piper to follow.
