🧬 Genetic research update - breeder participation welcome

As a Border Collie breeder, I know how important it is to base breeding decisions on real data rather than assumptions.

I’m involved in an academic genetic research project at the University of Bern studying health- and trait-related genetics in Border Collies (including epilepsy, OCD, LTV, coat and eye color).

To make participation easier, the project is now open to cheek swabs collected at home.

No vet visit is required.
This option is available for a limited period (until 30 June 2026).
✔️ Multiple dogs per kennel welcome
✔️ Relatives and whole litters are especially valuable
✔️ Research is academic and free
✔️ Sample collection is owner-organized
