Love this! Worth trying if you’ve lost a kitty.

There is a Japanese legend that talks about a method to find cats that have left the house and never come back.
The technique is to talk to the street cats in the neighborhood as if you would talk to anyone and ask them about your cat, describe it and it's hair tone, even tell them what it's name, and, ask them to help you find him or her. Tell them how much you love them and how much you want them to come home.
They will communicate with each other to help your cat return home ❤

After TWO long years missing...

KOVU IS FINALLY HOME! 🏠

For the last two years, Kovu's mom has been tirelessly refreshing shelter lost and found pages. Then, just two nights ago she saw a cat on Aggieland Humane's lost and found page that bore a striking resemblance to her Kovu. She rushed to Aggieland Humane to see him in person.

IT WAS HIM! Overcome with emotion, she couldn't hold back tears when, after all this time, she finally held her Kovu in her arms again! 😭

➡️ The moral of the story is: NEVER give up hope if your pet is missing, and don't stop checking your animal shelters' lost and found!

With Independence Day fast approaching, it's the perfect time to ensure your pets are microchipped. So, Aggieland Humane is offering FREE microchips this Wednesday, June 26th, at Peace Lutheran Church from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.

☑️ Microchips are limited, so pets will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.
☑️ Cats, dogs, puppies, and kittens over 2 months old are welcome!
☑️ All dogs must be on a leash.
☑️ All cats must be in a carrier.

Bryan/College Station’s First Cat Cafe Coming Soon....

Welcome to BCS Cat Company! My name is Jessica (sometimes known as Momma J) and I’m the human behind this project. I’ve loved and had cats my whole life....except for a few years where I shared my life with two big lovable dogs (one of which would’ve probably tried to eat a cat). After their time with us was done, we took a short break from pets but then one day a cat found us and made himself right at home...then another....and another.... So now our house is home to four awesome felines; Abe (short for Abraham Lincoln), Luna (full name, Luna Katharine Parker), Blackie Chan (started out as Vader but quickly changed), and Tex (because he was found on Texas Avenue by my very reluctant, allergic, but ever so patient partner and now, cat lover convert). So...cat cafe...I’ve been thinking about this for several years....like 10 or more years! Ever since they started popping up in the United States, but I never thought I was the type of person to start my own business. Fast forward to 2018, when some friends of mine asked me to join the board of a new nonprofit cat rescue they were forming in Bryan called Six Kittens Rescue....then to 2019, when I met a group of women entrepreneurs who lit a fire in me and showed me that I could make this dream a reality. I also believe Bryan/College Station is the best community to do it! We have a lot of cat lovers here. My mission is based on the letter C (makes sense): Cats, Community, and Connection. Cats. Obviously. We will have cats in an environment that will show them off in the best possible light. It will be an environment where people and cats feel comfortable in being themselves and they can really get a feel for each other. No cages. All the snuggles and purrs! Community. We will provide a unique place for the community to gather. Whether you love cats or you don’t, it will be a fun environment to hang out in and you can feel like you are doing a good thing for humanity. Connection. More and more studies are coming out about the benefits of the human-animal bond. BCS Cat Company hopes to foster that connection. Whether you are looking to adopt a cat or just bask in the benefits of being around them, we hope you’ll find it to be the purrfect place! Stay tuned for updates about local events and how you can get involved in building this dream into reality...
