Do you know the dangers of Alabama Rot? ⚠️

It can be fatal to your pup, so be sure to take preventative measures such as:
- Avoid extra muddy walking routes
- Wash and dry your dogs paws thoroughly

Be care of the signs and symptoms:
- Lethargy, vomiting and lack of appetite
- Sores or ulcers on the skin, especially the legs and paws
- A change in drinking and urinary habits

What to do?
Call your vet immediately!

Vestibular disease took my baby boy. First he was sick, then wobbly then fell over and kept trying to wee but couldn’t do it, then the nystagmus (eye shaking) then it got so violent his head shook and tilted. He had a peaceful journey in the car to the vet as we rushed him in, on my lap holding his head on the open windowsill of the car to keep his head still in the sunshine. They rushed him to the back straight away but they felt he wouldn’t improve, they said I was right diagnosing vestibular disease onset in only an hour and very violently, they said it wasn’t anything to do with his ears, they said it could have caused a blood clot in his brain and that we could try him with an injection for a week to see if he improved but they felt he would struggle only having 3 legs and falling over forward as his head was twitching and heavy. I said it was time to let him go, the vet then said yes that’s the second option and the one we’d reccomend and that it was horrible but I should be proud for not letting him suffer just for more time. They sedated him and gave him something to stop his head tremors so he was more comfortable but they were so bad he couldn’t close his eyes. They gave him the long sleep sedative and he lay in my lap for about 10 mins just snoring away as it took effect. I lay him in my arms on the table, holding his head and the cannula was put in. Still snoring I picked him up and held him close as they injected the euthanasia drug in. Part of me died with him. He went without a movement or a peep. I couldn’t let his body go, I held him for close to an hour before I could lay him in the blanket on the table. As I supported his head I heard one final snore as I lay him down on the table, he was gone but he left one little snore to leave me with as I lay him down on the table in the blanket. I kissed him over and over on his silky little head and I WAILED as I left. I ran back in one more time, screaming with pain. I couldn’t control the raw emotion coming out. 14 years, my special little man. They said they’d never met a frenchie as old has him, all of mine lived to 13/14 apart from Yoda who had cancer and was put to sleep at 8 after losing an eye to glaucoma and a leg to cancer. Vader is at peace with Yoda Leia Callie and Lilly now. He truly was his pedigree name “brave bull” to the end. I’ll miss you my son ❤

Clare Hadden has now changed the group to look as though she has owned it since 2011. I thank you to everyone who has supported me through trying to reclaim my group from her hijacking. This is the lady who despite me physically crying to her and telling her how I was hacked and my dog rescue and organisation were linked to the account, the dog that died last month with cancer, she decided for what I can only see as ego that she would take it over and make it look as though she was the group saviour. She has banned me and our rescue page from the group and the 3600 people in there will have little to no idea what she’s done as she bans anyone that says anything pro me.
Please make sure you share this and are in OUR official group for our animal and rescue organisation who are in this for the animals and will continue to do our best through this setback to support any three legged owner and animal and those needing homes find rescue spaces and homes, just as we have with over 100 animals so far! God bless you all for trying!

I am taking a day of rest today, I am extremely unwell as a result of todays events and will not be contactable. I sincerely apologize for this. If you do not know I am dealing with a rare brain condition that I’ve had since I was 28 (now 35) and it is slowly blinding me. Stress is a reactor and I am obviously dealing with it in ten fold today. I pray this is resolved quickly.

As of now Clare Hadden has now banned Caroline who has put her heart into this rescue since 2012 and the rescue page from Tripawds U.K. group. Please make sure you use our continuing alternate contact at Tripawds U.K. - Rescue Network and support group. We are shocked and amazed that someone would knowingly lock a rescue and owner out of their own page.

We really need your support guys. We have the chance to get our original page back now it is in the hands of an admin after Caroline’s original profile was hacked last year and deleted. It hands it to a new admin after a year. This new admin despite the mountains of evidence refuses to give the group back to Caroline, I don’t know what reason they could have to want this page other than to torment Caroline at a time she is suffering with a debilitating disability. We ask you kindly, Clare Hadden. PLEASE give Tripawds UK back to Caroline so that she can continue the amazing work she has done for Tripawds around the world since 2011. What’s worse is that she lost Tango recently and this is heartbreaking to see. Thank you to all owners and supporters for encouraging Clare to reinstate Caroline as admin. You were added at random but holding it hostage from Cari is YOUR choice and we just urge you to do the right thing, please. Thank you! We are all animal lovers and hopefully we can be back with you with Caroline and at the helm where she belongs soon. Let’s pray! RIP sweet Tango.

I haven’t been able to post here yet but back in May we lost Tango, some of you may remember him as the dog who created Tripawds U.K. RESCUE network when I blind adopted him as a bait dog from a dog fighting ring in Istanbul. He had his ears cut off, his teeth filed down, was missing a front leg and the other front leg was broken at the ankle and fuses like a kangaroo paw shape while he was not receiving care.
Fast forward to May. Tango was 5 or 6 when we got him and he’s now 18… he stops eating and becomes very weak. A few days later he deteriorates further, they palpate his tummy and find what they believe to be large amount of prostate cancer. He’d already been checked but he has we such a stoic boy who never wanted to trouble you he’d have felt enormous pain as long as it didn’t cause YOU any trouble.
We took him home for one final night and booked the vet to come out the day after to put him to sleep. He passed quickly and peacefully surrounded by the family of animals and humans that loved him dearly. He lives on in the waggy tails and full tummies of all of the animals we’ve helped rescue, place into alternative facilities and rehomed, around the world.
He is now cremated and will be back with us again soon ❤ reunited with the other dogs and cats of the Murphy household 💝
Thank you for your understanding of my lack of activity at this really difficult time. I am here but obviously with Vader my tripawd Frenchie (and 3 other dogs) I want to grieve with them in privacy and it will take some time, he was 18 years old and one of the loves of my life ❤
I love you Tango, rip boy!
