Dear Friends: first off, thank you all for stepping up and calling and messaging us about this post.

Verifying things and running this lead down is a much more complicated process than you can imagine.

This dog is not Rain. We are happy that this dog was reunited with its owner.

Please say a prayer for Rain to be brought back to Maria and family.

As many of you know, my sister, Maria Chiselko has lost her Leonberger, Rain on 7/20/23. She was lost from Gwynedd Valley, PA that day. There has only been a single sighting since that day. Maria and her family and some wonderful volunteers, have been looking diligently for Rain, walking the woods near where she was lost, talking to people in the area, posting signs and flyers, engaging paid services like Find Toto, purchaing mailing lists, calling vets, pet professionals, stores like Petsmart, Petco & Tractor Supply. We've mustered for social media postings, and there have been wonderful people in our extended dog community and regular FB community, that have dropped everying and gone out to search and help get our message out.

We are raising money to help pay for the continued expenses related to the search.

Every little bit helps. Can you spare the cost of a latte from Starbucks, to help?

We are now thinkinging that Rain might be in someones home.

Please, if you have Rain, return her with no questions asked. Or, if you see someone with a new, large, Leonberger dog that could possibly be Rain, please contact us so we can check it out.

We just want our girl home, and we know that she wants to be home with her family who loves her dearly.

Update:

Well, there isn't one. Rain is still missing. It will be eight weeks on 9/14/23.

A dog of her size, color, stature, demeanor just doesn't vanish. However, she has.

We continue to search, broadening our internet circle into neighboring states. I believe someone or something has her. If you are reading this, and you do - just call me - (951) 287-8997 - there will be no questions asked. Just give her back.

The extortion calls and just plain cruel calls continue. They say they have her, when I ask for a photo, the caller stalls, or starts screaming obscentities at me. My heart stops every time my phone rings.

Please, if you know something, just call, email, message. Rain needs to be home with her family, that misses her beyond bounds.

It’s been a hard and busy few days. On Friday, we had what we thought was *the* lead, that she was really found. After doing extensive research and diligence - it wasn’t her.

It was a crushing blow.

Well, it’s five weeks today. Only one sighting and that was the very first day.

I still have hope; however my heart hurts deeply.

I am grateful for the CMLPS team and Dina/Rick/Karen for everything.

No sightings still. I took a "insert-your-favorite-word" ton of signs to Dina on Saturday.

If you have her, give her back. No questions asked. Just give her back.

Thursday was four weeks since Rain has gone missing from 502 Plymouth Rd, Gwynedd Valley, PA 19002

No sightings. She has just vanished.

It’s been a hard couple of days for Maria and her family as you can imagine.

Heading out to take more signs and laminates to Dina Amontis (who we did not know before all of this and has become an amazing part of our team) to put up.

We will never give up. We will never surrender.

If you are inclined, please say a prayer or two for Maria and her family.

There still have been no sightings. We have and continue to place signs and make phone calls to vets, etc.

Maria and I went out and hung more signs in the 5 mile radius area. The Whitpain Police is very kind and very supportive of our efforts

Today was a particularly difficult one as we had a reported sighting. I have to thank the Chester Montgomery County Lost Pet Search who instantly mobilized to check the lead out. It was unfortunately not Rain, and it has been as you imagine an emotional roller coaster.

Maria wants to say thank you to everyone who has contributed to the gift list. We are making more signs and posters.

Still no sighthings. We are expanding the radius of putting up posters and signs. Found a list of veterinarians that I was able to download and will use this to make a physical mailing to all of them.

I arrived in NJ this afternoon and we met with Lisa of Chester & Montgomery County Pet Search to formulate a solid plan.

We put out over 50 posters tonight in the vacinity where she was lost.

WE NEED A SIGHTING !!!

Maria and I (Sue) will be back out tomorrow for more door to door canvassing and getting flyers to homes and businesses.

Rain still is missing.

We need your help:

1. People to physically walk Plymouth Road where she was lost, from West Twp Line to Schoolhouse Road. To take the flyers with them, go door to door, talk to anyone home, see if they have a camera and would check the footage and share it with us. And if they are not home, to leave a flyer.

2. People to take flyers around to the neighborhoods within a 2 mile radius from where she was lost.

3. People to make and put up posters in the area (we will provide the materials)

Rain went missing on 7/20/23 from 502 Plymouth Road, Gwynedd Valley (Lower Gwynedd Township), PA 19022. Rain escaped at approximately 5:30am. There was a verified sighting on 7/20/23 at around that time, on Plymouth Road. There has been one other confirmed sighting.

Her owner, Maria Chiselko is in the area right now, searching on foot with Eagle, her Whippet. Eagle has positively alerted several times and has taken her to places where large dog tracks have been found.

While we have a wonderful family, we can always use more help. If you are able to come out, even for a little while, to walk the streets, put out flyers, or just come walk in the areas, we would appreciate it.
