Wee Archie who moved to Edinburgh last year came to stay for a couple of weeks. We were so happy to see him we miss the little guy.
Had a lovely time playing with the gang and spent a lot of time cuddling to keep me going until his next holiday.
While he was here his friends Big Archie, Charlie and Bertie came to say hi to their old pal.
Come back soon little man.
Kingston recently came to stay and stole a few hearts including mine!
What an adorable bundle of love he is.
Such a chilled little lad permanently smiling and wagging his tail non-stop. Within 5 minutes he had settled in and it was like he had been here forever and he knew when snack time was.
He played with everyone and enjoyed "lap surfing" and snuggling on the sofa after busy days chasing fir cones and racing after Lulu and Perry.
It was lovely to have him here an we will look forward to seeing him again soon.
Bella & Elvis came to stay for a while so that Gwyn and Steve could go to a family wedding.
Gwyn was a bit anxious as she had not left them before and Elvis at 18 was blind and deaf and Gwen thought possibly suffering from a bit of dementia.
Happy to report they both settled in very quickly and not only were they ok but I think they really enjoyed their holiday, happily joining in with the rest of the gang for playtime, walks, and cuddles.
Bella really enjoyed playing with the others and led the pack on walks. Elvis joined us on the walks albeit being carried but he seemed to enjoy it.
After busy days they both snuggled up on the sofa and snored the evenings away.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays ###
It's been a busy summer with lots of lovely guests. Time to post a few photos or rogues gallery.
We have welcomed many regulars and familiar faces and met some new guests.
A great summer full of fun memories and yes lots of Waggy Tails. The hot weather meant more mooching around and lolling on the sun beds than walking but we had a lovely time.
We have sadly waved goodbye to Wee Archie who is moving back to the UK. Archie was a regular visitor and really became a member of the family. His mum has promised to keep in touch and let me have updates about his new adventures.
As the weather cools we look forward to brisk walks in the cold followed by snuggling up and snoozing in front of the fire.

I want to provide a real home from home, where dogs will feel the same comfort, love and attention that they receive at home. Dogs can live along side my own dogs or if preferred I have room to accommodate them separately but still within the house and with no less cuddles and attention.
It's been a hot and busy couple of months. The dogs have enjoyed very early morning walks before the sun gets up but most of the days have been spent sprawled out on the cool tiles ( and that's just me !) thank goodness the house stays cool.
We have had some lovely guests including regulars Big Archie, Wee Archie, Yogi and Katie. Alfie a Golden retriever came for his first stay. Alfie is a bit wobbly on his legs and happy to watch the others rather than walk too far but the others made friends with him and he seemed to enjoy his week. He is coming back for a 2 week holiday in September.
Today is about 10 degrees cooler and after the storm last night we have light rain, which was a joy to walk in this morning. I can hear thunder grumbling so maybe another storm. Time to go out before it cracks off I think.

I can't believe how fast time flies ! We have had a busy few months and only now have a space to add some photos of our gorgeous recent guests.
Despite the gloomy weather there is always a smiley face and waggy tail here.
After playing and running around all morning the munchkins have a snooze while I catch up on some admin. Think I might get myself a big bed and snuggle up with them !
Some of our dogs, ours and guests, enjoying relaxing after running around the fields. It is so nice to see how well they all get along. Our Pup Lulu loves having so many friends to play with. She plays with them all but I have a feeling she has a crush on Archie ( big black LAB ) as they are always together and I often find they have snuck of for a cuddle on the the sofa.
New Guest Yogi came for a short stay. Such a gorgeous Teddy Bear of a dog. He enjoyed the company of the other dogs and made himself at home. He usually sleeps on mums bed so wasn't keen on sleeping with the rest of the dogs but settled straight down as soon as I let him sleep with me and he didn't move for about 8 hours. Such a cuddly boy, will look forward to seeing him again.
We have been hosting guests Charlie, Archie and Katy over the last few weeks. Making the most of the last of the warm weather before curling up in the kitchen for a snooze.
Looking at my photos I seem to have a collection of cute pictures so thought I would share them. My bunch of scruffy hooligans look so angelic sometimes especially when snoozing ! Don't be fooled by the angelic poses they are scally wags really, but I love them all.
The big bundle of love and cuddles that is Archie has been staying for a week and its been lovely watching him mix and mingle with the others. He fits right it, and within an hour he's part of the family. I think he enjoys being part of the pack. He and Lulu our tiny baby are about the same age, with the same puppy energy level, and they have become firm friends, even though Archie is 10 times the size of Lulu. Its been entertaining to watch them playing. They love to chase each other. Lulu has worked out that although she can't run as fast as Archie she corners really well and can out run him if she keeps turning tight turns!
Archie watched the little ones, who have a habit of jumping onto my lap, so he thought he would try it. He ran from the other side of the Orchard and took a flying leap onto my lap. Only half of him would fit but he looked so pleased with himself and gave my nose a big slurp! got to love him.
We have had the pleasure of Indie's company for a few days. A gorgeous German Shepherd with the sweetest chilled nature. I've enjoyed seeing her settle in, mingle with the others and watch her rolling in the long grass. She is huge compared to our puppy but she was very patient with an excitable Jack Russel cross and so gentle even when puppy tried to nose nudge her into playing! Indie is adorable and I will miss the way she pushed her muzzle into my hand when she wanted a cuddle. I always fall a bit in love with all of them but she is such a lovely girl I felt quite sad to say goodbye.
We welcomed the gorgeous Archie for a weeks holiday. What a lovely lad he is. Only a pup and a big clumsy boy who doesn't realise how big he is. He couldn't fit on my lap but I must admit I enjoyed snuggling up on the sofa with him. It was so nice to watch him playing with everyone. He has got bags of energy but I think we managed to tire him out. Typical youngster interested in everything ,full of beans, running around and then suddenly crashed out in his bed. He was particularly attracted to Lulu who is also only a pup and they quickly became best friends but he did struggle to squeeze into a small bed just so he could be next to her!

Woody Miley and Nippy snuggled up on the sofa with me, Perry in bed with the cat, the others stretched out in front of the fire and puppy trying to eat my sox Lovely way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Its been a strange year. We are lucky to have space and the company of our dogs to make us smile and keep us busy. Watching them play without any cares and seeing their happy faces and waggy tails lifts our spirits every day. For Christmas we are planning turkey dinners all round followed by a nice walk and then cuddles on the sofa. We hope that wherever you are and however you spend Christmas it is a peaceful one. Lets look forward to 2021.
Love walking in the cold, but sunny Autumn mornings. Our 4 hotel guests are still here and so much part of the family it would be hard to tell who is a permanent resident and who is a guest. Such lovely little girls full of character and affection its a pleasure to look after them. So many cuddles I an blessed. ( although the sofa does get a bit crowded watching TV in the evenings)
I think they will be staying for Christmas - they must have heard its turkey dinner and treats all round!!
New dog beds and on a cold wet Sunday afternoon no one is very keen on moving !
Our puppy Lulu is totally in love with one of our boarders, Nippy. They play together all day, and its lovely to watch. They only stop playing when Lulu falls asleep! I am not sure what Lulu will do when her best friend Nippy has to go home. Luckily Nippy's mum has found a house that is not too far away so I am sure Nippy will come back for play days.

Lots of waggy tails having fun mooching around this morning, enjoying the sunshine before it gets too hot.
Sunday Morning sun is shining but not too hot so everyone ready for a walk before breakfast. Pup looks like she knows what to do!
We have 4 boarders staying with us for a few weeks while mum is house hunting. Miley, Perry,Nippy and Woody have joined the gang and have settled in amazingly well. They are sweet girls and love a cuddle and snuggle. I must admit I am not very productive right now as I am making the most of all the cuddles! On the first day I forgot to give them the rules of the house and boundary chat and turned my back for literally a few seconds to find Nippy and Perry on the table ! I swear Perry was laughing at me. They've got the idea now, chairs are ok - table a big no no :-) It is so nice to see how they interact happily with my lot and they are very patient with puppy who thinks she is in charge!
Funny how they all like one particular chair in the kitchen. There is no squabbling but as soon as one gets up another jumps in.
We have been enjoying the company of the gorgeous Hugo for a weeks holiday. He is such a lovely gentle boy. I dont think he realises how big he is as he tries to climb onto my lap. He slipped into our routine as if he has been here for ever and enjoyed playing with the rat pack( my rabble ). This week has been too hot for long walks but Hugo has made the most of being part of the pack and enjoyed slow walks early morning and evening when it has been cooler and is skilled in finding the cool spots on the tiles We have a tiny JR puppy and Hugo has been an absolute star. Playing and putting up with being jumped on by a tiny but feisty pup. Not sure who will miss him most me or the puppy! See you again soon Hugo ###

The very handsome Hugo came for the day today. We all had a lovely time. He quickly settled in with mine and they all enjoyed a couple of nice walks and then all snoozing happily at my feet. I have to say its not only Chipie and Millie who have fallen for his gorgeous good looks and sweet nature. I am more than a little smitten ! Looking forward to him coming again soon.
Ozzie and Elsa have settled in for a Christmas Break at Waggy Tails. They have made themselves at home and I am enjoying their company. Such affectionate dogs I am loving all the cuddles .
