Meet the sweet boy, Dash! He’s currently one of Michigan Humane’s longest residents, which is a title no animal enjoys having. I’ve worked with him for many months now and he deserves to finally find a home to call his own.
He is exceptionally smart and loving! He’s looking for a simple life of walks, playtime and couch time. He does require snacks and treats in his furever home but he’s not picky.
One of his sleepover families said that he loves a good movie session. Movie snacks AND couch time? How could it not be great!

Black Friday is here and Cyber Monday is around the corner! For those blessed with extra to give, consider sharing with your local pet shelter. This is Michigan Humane's wishlist and many shelters have similar lists. Always check with shelters first, as some have different needs. Treats, gently used towels, blankets and pet toys/attire are almost always appreciated.

The holiday are upon us! This can be a busy and stressful season for many but I'd like to give two reminders.
1. Not all people/holiday food is safe for pets so please double and triple check before sharing! Remember, when in doubt they don't need a taste. Because that taste might lead to a vet bill.
2. Not all pets enjoy the hustle and bustle and that's okay! There is nothing wrong with setting your animals up with a cozy spot away from the party. We only want them to join if they are also going to have fun.
P.s. That goes for you too. If having your pet around adds to the stress then allow them a nap away from the chaos. I promise they would rather that then feel your stress. They won't be mad. 💚
