What a year it’s been! So many changes to our program. We’ve tried out some new things that haven’t worked so well, and others that have been amazing.

One amazing is Grant & Leah Bryan. I have been mentoring the Bryan’s for several years now as they started their own Labrador program. We’ve had some personal changes at my house, and at this point I have handed over full reins of my Labrador program to the Bryan’s. They are going to do amazing continuing on and breeding these lines we love so much.

So welcome Bryan’s and welcome to the new name, Cloud Peak Labrador Retrievers.

The Announcement!

We have added to and expanded our kennels. We made a quick trip over Labor Day weekend to pick up four (yes FOUR) more beautiful Labradors. I am so excited about the possibilities and personalities of these dogs.

My good friend was looking to phase out of the Labrador Retrievers and focus on her other breeds to give them the care and attention they need and we have been praying about the direction of the dog business, when this opportunity came up, we felt like it was a direction that we were supposed to take.

The females are an extension of the line we have been working with from the beginning, but our stud has gotten elderly and also our girls are all from him now. My friend had a gorgeous stud with an amazing pedigree, I am excited to see the offspring of my girls and Landry.

One of the biggest announcements is that we have a litter due the end of September, ready to go home in November! It is a Molly (charcoal) and Landry (silver) litter so the colors will be Charcoal and Silver only. If you wanted to own a Charcoal or Silver, this would be a good litter because there will be more choices to choose from with those colors.

An update on Mia

Rosy took her to the vet last week and after testing her with an ultrasound and X-ray she has what they call a false pregnant. So we were all very disappointed. We will breed her again in the future. We will post more updates as time goes on. Life is full unexpected changes.

We are thinking it will be within the day or two. There is no curling up for her any more, she lays all stretched out to make room for the puppies and breathe at the same time….I know her pain. 🤣🤣

And isn’t she just so beautiful! We (Leah and the kids) miss her when she is with Rosy but we know she is being spoiled and taken care of. We got to “talk” to Mia this afternoon and she really responded to the kids voices.

We are so excited! ❤️❤️

Our breeding line is bred for hunting as well. Stella is four months ago here and had been through several trainings. Her family was thrilled at how fast she was learning.

Our dogs are so good with kids. When Mia is with Rosy there are a lot of grandchildren running around the house. A favorite spot for both dogs and kids is the rug beside the door, many hours have been spent here with various grandchildren. ❤️❤️

Our breeding line does exceptionally well with the “place” command. Everything I have trained Mia for, she picks up very fast and such a gentle dog.

Still counting the days! More and more signs every day. ❤️❤️

One of the things I love about this breed line is how well they do with the children. I never worry about them with our dogs. They are so good with children, neurotypical and ones with medical and cognitive problems. ❤️

Throwback to when Mia was a puppy and getting into mischief. 😂
The sticky things are soft grass burrs, they did not hurt her or me when I pulled them out. ❤️

She had four mini me’s in her last litter with Dusty. I think she is a gorgeous black Labrador and has an amazing personality! 😍

ANOUNCEMENT!!!!!!

Puppies are expected the middle of January, they can go to their forever home in the first two week of March. We are super excited!

ANNOUNCEMENT!!

We are changing our name to Rosy's Homegrown Labradors. With a lot of prayer and thought, my mother Rosy and I have decided to partner together on raising the same quality Labradors as Cloud Peak Silver Labradors. My mother will be whelping and raising the pups in her home in South Dakota and I will be taking care of all the little details. We will be using my dogs, Mia and Dusty as our dame and sire. We feel confident that this line has excellent temperament, very family oriented as well as a hunting line. We are excited to be working together, doing something we both love. We hope to have our first litter ready to go home in February or March 2023. ❤

This is sad post for me, due family health reasons, I will not be able to continue raising quality, sweet puppies. I enjoyed training and learning the process. I loved having the puppies and seeing their sweet personalities emerge. If you purchased a puppy from me, all terms are still honored. Any questions, please feel free to message me.

Thanks to my children who have worked hard with me raising socialized, healthy, quality dogs! Thanks to all the friends and family who advertised and shared my puppies with their friends and family. And thank you all the new friends who gave our puppies their forever homes!

We celebrated with coffee and cinnamon rolls. ❤️
