I started this foundation to honor him and to raise funds
It was so cool getting a bunch of my colleagues together and making a bunch of little blankets for some very special animals!! :)

Howdy friends!! I’ve been quiet but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been working on things 🤠 I’ve been brainstorming some FUN-draisers I can run once the weathers warmer and steady!
I’ve also been fostering again and I cannot stress enough how important fostering is! I just got back from an adoption appointment where I got to gush and brag about how amazing this little girl was. She was surrendered to the shelter when her owners moved and she was so overstimulated she was picking fights with everyone and hissing/scratching the workers. I took her in, gave her her own bedroom and let her get used to me before I brought in my sisters cat and BOOM, she was an entirely new cat. 2 DAYS LATER. THATS ALL IT TOOK!!
She followed him everywhere, started exploring the rest of my house, started eating with my cats and forcing every new person who came in to love her and to say hi to her. I was crying when I emailed the foster coordinator telling her all the great things going on and that I felt she was ready to be adopted.
That was Monday and by Tuesday afternoon we already had an appointment set up along with 8 other people interested in her! All it took was a few weeks with me and for me to write up a little bio about her personality and now she’s off to the perfect home. 💕 It’s such a rewarding feeling knowing that at no cost to me, except for love and patience, that this little girl gets to live out a full, loved life 🫶🏻
Does it make me sad to say goodbye? Selfishly yes. But the joy and warmth in my heart that she’s found a perfect home out-weighs my sadness every time i say goodbye. And now I have room to do it all over again with the next foster(s).

Do you know what happens when you run a washing machine for TEN HOURS EVERYDAY FOR OVER 7 YEARS, washing all the animal care things....it dies 👎 (kaput, it's no longer the little engine that could)...that's what happens (and always at the worst time, I mean we are trying to save lives here)! Our commercial washer died last week - resulting in an emergency order for a new one (whoa, have you seen prices these days) & multiple trips to the laundry mat each day to keep up - totaling nearly $6,500 in UNEXPECTED expenses.😳

I would die for Peaches
I met with my first partner today and it was the best experience! So excited to officially kick everything off and plan some events for next year!!
It was so special seeing all the animals and hearing the rescue’s story. And I got to meet this little girl who looks just like baby Rexie 💗 hated me as much as he did too 😉 i think it’s a sign from the universe that i’m on the right track 🦋

Worley came to us from the Sunflower State 🌻, It is believed that he was SHOT IN THE FACE 😢 (notice his crooked smile); his jaw doesn’t line up correctly and his one eardrum appears to be ruptured. He will need all of his teeth 🦷 removed this month. At that time, we will do full x-rays 🩻.
