🚫⚠️🚫 REPEAL of BREED BAN on AC Board Agenda 🚫⚠️🚫

It's been over an entire year since the Poplar Bluff Animal Control Advisory Board last discussed repealing the pit bull ban in the city.

In June 2023, the Poplar Bluff Animal Control Board began discussions on replacing the city's pit bull ban with a breed-neutral ordinance.

The Board meets infrequently, and the meetings scheduled after June 2023 were subsequently canceled.

However, the wait is over, and the issue of REPEALING the 14-year-old ban is on the Board's agenda for their meeting tomorrow morning (Tuesday, September 16, 2024).

The Board's final recommendation on the matter will be passed to the city council at some point in the future. (**Please note: I'm not indicating tomorrow's meeting will result in a decision; only that the Board's eventual decision holds great weight.)

If you live in or near Poplar Bluff, please politely and respectfully encourage city officials to repeal the ban in favor of a breed-neutral dangerous dog ordinance that better serves the interests and welfare of ALL who reside in the city -- humans and animals alike.

His owner had to give him up due to health concerns.

This poor boy is afraid of men. He will need very slow intros with men & dogs. Would be best with children 12+. No littles due to his size. No cats!
