After some very wet and muddy trips outside yesterday, we are very grateful for the chance to play and play and play outside today! We tried out the slide for the first time, played in the tippy bowl, and just generally scampered around with joy. 🐶😎
We all had baths today! Bathing 10 puppies is a big event, so it required more napping - on the puppies’ part. 😉
Getting ready to go home very soon! Vet visit from the most amazing Dr. Re tomorrow. 🐾
We tried a new toy today! Who will be first through the tunnel?
These gorgeous summer days have been the best for lots of time outside.
Apologies for the posting delay!
We brought out a new toy today - the tunnel! Who will be first to go through it?
The gorgeous weather has been perfect to spend lots of time playing outside and working on our potty training!
Nap or play, play or nap? The struggle is real. Maybe do both?
Watch out for the little girl who falls out of bed and is quite disappointed by that turn of events. 😂
These little ones puppied super hard today! They are eating, growing, and sleeping like stars and their eyes are loosening up. It’s just a matter of days before their eyes and ears are open and they truly find their feet.
Doesn’t the first one remind you of Winnie the Pooh? I can’t even with the cuteness!
Good morning! How many puppy yawns can you spot in one minute? 😅
Time to snuggle up on a chilly winter night with your buddies in bed. This crew is getting excited to meet their forever families this weekend.
I don’t think there is a better cold weather activity than snuggling puppies!
These little puppies are almost three weeks old!
They are starting to move their bowels on their own without mom’s help, so we introduce the first step toward potty training.
We start by putting a wee wee pad sprayed with an attractant in their box. At this point, it’s just random luck if they use it or not. Over time, we will add a grate over the pad, and by weeks seven and eight, they generally use the pads a majority of the time.
The goal of all of this is to reinforce what the puppies instinctively know: there is one place to sleep and a different place to potty.
When they go to their new homes, the puppies will want to do the same - they will just need a *LOT* of trips to the new potty place! 😉
Which one do you think used the pad first?
One last puppy video for the road… 🐶🥳
When you give the babies tons of space, a comfy bed, lots of toys, and you find them in a pig pile in the corner, you have to ask, why??
Answer: they just want to be near mom. Mom, however, who loves the eight of them so very much she stays close by, has had ENOUGH of it all for a hot minute that she has to lie hiding her head under the sofa. 😂
Dinner time!! The eight little muffins are all terrific eaters, whether they are on top of the pile or underneath.
