Microwave uses his shelter to keep warm and also looks so cute in his box 😭 Thank you for allowing us to take shelters home from their workshop!
I am in the process of getting more approved shelters on campus, although to do so we need to come up with a maintenance plan I can present to student organizations and facilities management. We have a shelter and feeding station maintenance committee that no one has joined yet, joining would just entail checking and reporting back on status of the shelters and feeding stations biweekly to make sure they are in good condition on campus. Please consider joining this committee as it’s very important to the campus kitties’ well-being to have shelters during the cold weather💜🥺

Thanks to ACS and Feral Cat Condo Project volunteers who helped create these AMAZING cat condos! With a large donation of insulated coolers and other materials from Frenchie's Kitchen LLC, we were able to make dozens of condos that will help ferals keep warm and dry, specially during this season!

Although this is a personal preference that a cat owner cat decide for themselves, it is much different than a stray or feral cat.

Why are there so many kitties?

▪️A cat can get pregnant when she’s just 4 months old
▪️A cat can have 3 litters every year
▪️A cat can get pregnant while nursing kittens
▪️A female cat in heat can attract male cats from up to a mile away
▪️A cat usually has 3-5 kittens per litter, but can have up to 8 kittens
▪️In just 18 months a kitten can become a mother, a grandmother, and a great grandmother

Cats are prolific breeders. An unspayed female cat is almost always pregnant, nursing, or both. Cat overpopulation is at a crisis level. Please do your part to stop the cycle of reproduction by spaying and neutering your pet cats and TNR'ing (trap-neuter-return) all outdoor cats you're feeding. There are so many resources available to help with spay/neuter.
