Time to introduce you to my first rescue/rehome in a while - meet the lovely Olive 💚

Brought in by a lovely lady who rescued this budgie after a work colleague threaten to release into the wild!
Olive did have a friend who had passed away, prior to this, so I believe her plucked feathers are down to stress of being without her cagemate.

She is being treated for this & is being kept separate while settling in.
Hopefully she will be able to join the main flock in a few weeks, but she already seems happier being in the same room as the flock.

Breeding cages are set up with their first pair already settling in.

Also have my first rescue/rehome coming in today, so slowly coming back to the page.

These 2 beauties were abandoned outside a Vet’s, but are now in the care of Animal Rescue and Care - Twickenham. They are now looking for a new home - see post for more info

Sparky is looking for an experienced budgie owner with an aviary or similar suitable enclosure and environment, so he can exhibit his natural behaviour. He is lonely on his own and will benefit from eventually being introduced to others of his kind. He's quite nervous and easily startled, so a quiet home would be ideal. Sorry for the lack of posts & not responding to message over the left few months.

Unfortunately I have been dealing with a family bereavement and so my spare time has been spent dealing with trying to process my grief, alongside all the admin that comes with dealing with a death.

I have therefore taken a break from breeding, rescuing and rehoming, with hopes of returning to it later in the year / early next year.

Please note that my budgies are still being taken good care of by myself, and I look forward to sharing more with you on the near future.

I had quite a few chicks which were growing up when I last updated the page, and these have due to everything going on, most have stayed with me, so I will look to update you on their development soon.

I hope you all understand my need for a break from the page, and I look forward to slowly returning to the page over the coming weeks.

These have just been separated from their parents, so will be ready for new homes in a few weeks.

Chick Update - Indi & Rio

They have successfully hatched 3 chicks, hatching over the Easter weekend.

Looks like we have 2 recessive pieds & 1 normal. Also looks like one of the recessive pieds & the normal are Cinnamon.
