TGIF! 🥳 I’m so thankful for Fridays and the promise of two days off! This four-day work week somehow felt longer than a full five days—must be that full moon energy 🌚 The kids have been CRAZY! I can’t remember the last time I looked forward to a weekend this much. Cheers to making it through!

Today I’m thankful the rain waited until I was safely tucked inside before it started. With multiple recesses, a lunchtime walk, a run, and an after-work walk with Cooper, the weather was definitely on my side. 😎🌥🌨

Wrapping up National Animal Shelter Week with a heart full of gratitude. Yesterday, I attended volunteer orientation at the Humane Society of Southwest Washington, and it was truly inspiring. When I arrived, the parking lot was full—people were dropping off donations, and the lobby was busy with potential adopters. It was amazing to see so many others coming together to help animals in need.

I'm grateful for shelters like this that not only provide a safe haven for animals but also offer food, low cost veterinary care, and affordable spay/neuter services for pet owners who might otherwise be forced to surrender their pets. 🐾 Thank you to all the shelters and volunteers who work tirelessly to keep animals safe and loved.

Today, I’m grateful for good news from the vet! Cooper’s test results came back, and thankfully, he’s healthy! I’ve been worried about him all week, so this is such a relief… Now, if only I could figure out why he keeps sh$tting in the house! 🐶💩

Today, I’m grateful for sunshine! Cooper and I enjoyed a beautiful, phone-free walk—just fresh air, warm sunshine, and a reminder of how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful place. It was exactly what I needed to clear my mind and refocus, despite everything happening in the world. 🌞🐾 What is something that helps you reset and find peace?

🗽Today, I’m grateful the elections are finally over! While the results weren’t exactly what I was hoping for, I’m ready to move forward and do my part to make a positive impact however I can—for my family, my community, and beyond. A friend shared something that I wanted to pass on ‘Whether you voted blue or red, love like you’re purple.’

Let’s take a cue from our pups, who remind us to stay grounded, find joy in the simple moments, and embrace unconditional love, regardless of our political view. Let’s keep moving forward with kindness, and focusing on what we can control. ❤🐕

Today, I’m especially grateful for the many photos I have of loved ones—family, friends, and the beloved pets who have passed on. As the election approaches, it seems like many of us feel a heightened sense of division and tension. It’s easy to get caught up in the uncertainty and differences surrounding us. But no matter what happens—whether the outcome is what you hoped for or not—we can still come together and focus on what truly matters.

Today, I’m especially thankful for the flexibility in my work schedule and the ability to take time off when I need it. Cooper hasn’t been himself lately, and finding a vet appointment after 4 p.m. has been nearly impossible. I feel so grateful to have a job that allows me to adjust my schedule and the financial means to take a day off to focus on his well-being. ❤🐕
