Getting fuelled up for a fun evening at jacks farm.

Did you know that Bunnies are most active during the night, if given the opportunity rabbits will move around 3 miles in one evening.

To help with enrichment- only use a bowl if medically necessary- hide their daily allowance of nuggets & herbs in their hay.

Here at Jacks farm we love our bunkers as it gives our visitors the opportunity to really enjoy their stay with lots of space to display their natural behaviours

We've found ourselves in quite the breakfast conundrum. The flakes are falling! Our breakfast cereal supplies are dwindling, and we need reinforcements. If you're off to the supermarket this weekend and can afford to add a box or two of cereal at our collection points, we'd be "snap, crackle, and poppin'" with gratitude.

We have collection points at Tesco Cam & Stroud, Waitrose Stroud, Sainsbury's Stroud and most local co-ops across the district.

Tesco tops up all of donations by 20%. This means that your support will have an even greater impact.

Alternatively, donations can also be dropped at our warehouse at Unit 19 Canal Iron Works, Hope Mill Lane, Brimscombe GL5 2SH. Mon-Fri 10-12 (please call in advance if you are dropping off outside of these hours). Together we can make a positive impact. #

Many of us might go on a diet as part of our New Year’s resolution, but you need to make sure to keep an eye on your buns’ diets too! 👀

Having a healthy diet is a vital part of a rabbit’s physical health, including digestive, gut, and oral health.

Obesity is a problem for many rabbits and, although they might not be as bothered about what they look like in the mirror, being a healthy weight is important as obesity can lead to arthritis and inability to groom themselves properly resulting in fly strike.

In order to keep your rabbits a healthy weight, their diet should be made up of 85% hay or grass, 10% greens, and 5% pellets.

Rabbits are a 10-year commitment, not just for Christmas.

Contrary to popular belief, rabbits do not make good first-time pets for children and are not a good Christmas present idea. As very misunderstood creatures, rabbits are a 10-year commitment and require special care and attention which can equate to over £10,000 over their lifetime.

Rabbits are living, breathing creatures with needs, not objects or playthings. Please think twice about giving them as Christmas gifts because rescue centres are inundated every year with unwanted pets once new owners have found out what is needed and decided rabbits aren’t for them.

You can still access the shop from the Stroud direction and we are still open as normal!
