This is what Hourly Pet Sitting is all about.

I’m often asked what exactly this type of Pet Sitting is, and there are a few variations.

In some situations, like yesterday, an owner may have an event, appointment, etc, where leaving their dog at home & a Drop-In Visit isn’t the best option.

Yesterday, an owner & I arranged to meet in a well shaded public space, where Gus & I spent about 2 hours together.

The owner brought everything Gus would need on such a warm day. A bowl with plenty of water, treats, & his prefilled/frozen Kong.

It is with heaviest of hearts that we light a candle tonight to honor the passing of a dear friend’s dog, Oliver.

Might you run free sweet Oliver with old friends & new. We know so many, that have gone on before you, were there waiting to welcome you home.

Today is National Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day.

I’ve been honored to light a candle for the pets I have owned, known & loved…lighting the candle, for me, is a way to recognize the life of a shinning light, that has gone on before me.

I do this not just for my own pets, but for my clients, friends & family.

We love our pets because bless our lives in countless ways. The loss, their absence from our lives, no matter how long we have them can way heavily on our hearts. For many this loss is so great, they cannot bare the idea of this occurring again in their lifetime.

Get your pets ready for the 4th of July!

Getting a microchip at West Valley Humane Society is a very quick process and a small price to pay ($30) to ensure your animal will easily get reunited.

With warmer weather, unpredictable noise, and higher foot traffic from the holiday- it is fairly common for us to have over a hundred animals come in all in a matter of days. West Valley Humane Society works tirelessly to ensure that all animals that come in as strays get returned to their families as soon as possible. When microchipped, animals can be reunited incredibly quickly by allowing us to contact the owner immediately.

A microchip essentially works as a serial number. If your pet gets lost and brought to a vet clinic or a shelter, the animal will then be scanned for its microchip. The microchip will provide the shelter or vet clinic with the owner's name and phone number. This allows for the animal to be quickly reunited with its owner and family!

Getting a microchip at WVHS is quick, easy, and only $30 per pet (no additional vet service fees like regular veterinary clinics).
