Rufus🐍

Rufus came to us with the help of (massive thankyou!!) after his old owners could no longer care for him. He had escaped his enclosure and was free roaming a vacant apartment, with no access to heat or light for weeks, however he seems relatively okay! He is currently in quarantine, and may have already found his forever home with his main caretaker at the rescue🙊

Meet Pandora💎

This sweet girl came to us from some very lovely people who could no longer care for her after taking her in from someone else. She currently weighs 25g, but for a 13 year old crestie we'd like her to gain a little more. She also has MBD so is currently on a meal plan to help her fatten up a little bit and gain some more muscle mass. She is the sweetest little character and we are very excited to get to know her more💚

Egg has settled in so well and is doing amazing💚He still has an attitude and is quite nippy, so will not be up for adoption anytime in the near future as we don't want to risk him coming back to us because of the same reasons that brought him here in the first place. Still, he is a much loved face at the rescue and is living his best life!🦎

Egg • Crested Gecko • Male • Not currently for adoption

Zeke is a 3 year old Hognose who was rescued in March 2023.
His original family unfortunately did not do enough research on the species. He is very territorial of his space and is still learning that we aren't a threat to him.

Salt and Pepper are two Corn Snakes that we rescued in early 2023.
Salt can be distinguished from Pepper by her lighter markings. Pepper also has a damaged eye which does not appear to hinder her in any way. These two ended up in our care due to their previous owner growing tired of them and threatened to release them into the wild. Luckily a friend of the previous owner took them and made contact with us. Now Salt and Pepper are living the life in our care and get to enjoy the sunshine (when it's warm) from the safety of captivity. If these two were released into the wild they would have most certainly perished so we are very grateful for the previous owner's friend doing what he did.

Big things come from small beginnings and so do turtles.

This is a picture of two Cooter turtles here at Reptile Rescue UK doing an amazing job demonstrating the size difference from a baby to an adult.
After the ban on the slider turtle species (Trachemys) back in 2016, Cooters (Pseudemys) have now become one of the go to turtle for sale in many pet shops.
Cooters are amazing animals with great personalities however they do get large with females growing to dinner plate sizes. This sadly means the average fish tank will not do for this species and requires a pond. Its very important to remember how large some reptiles can get and plan enclosures accordingly to this potential.

Some turtles that stay a bit smaller: Musk Turtles, razorback musks, Map Turtles

Here at Reptile Rescue UK we do take in turtles that need a new home, if you have a turtle needing to find a new place to stay please feel free to get in touch via direct message or our website located in our profile description.

Meet Egg!🍳

Egg's previous owner contacted us after deciding he needed a new home. He has some territorial and food aggression issues which became too much for the previous owners to deal with, as they have young children. We plan to work with Egg around these issues to make him feel more comfortable in his own space❤️
