With all of the incorrectly sexed chickens we've taken in, we need another chicken area!! Especially with next spring meaning more chickens needing to be placed! The cage alone costs $400.00 If anyone has a used cage that they would like to donate please let us know!

Well today was an adventure. Called the vet this morning and was told that we needed to syringe feeding again. Not a problem except that the syringes don't allow the actual food to go through. So, we went to Weston in search of something we could use to feed her. Tractor Supply didn't have anything, Swisher Feed didn't have anything, and finally we went to Foster Feed where we found a lamb and kid stomach feeding kit. The syringe for the kit works perfectly! Really should have bought more than one. A lot of prayer went up today, and thankfully everything seems to have worked out

The kitten has regressed some. She's not eating much now, and she hasn't been able to relieve herself. We'll be calling the vet tomorrow to see what we can do for her.

The kitten is eating on her own now. She is getting a pain med once a day and an antibiotic twice a day. Moved her into the house to work with her. She was laying in litterpan (like all cats will) and it was interfering with her mouth healing up. One night on the puppy pads and it looks better. Her food has to be blended up for her

The last cat spay we had done cost us $170.00 there is a new vet working at the vet office and they usually charge $185.00 per spay. As a result, we need to be able to have $185.00 when scheduling a spay. I'm posting this because we don't know when we will have a cat that someone wants to adopt and we're asking adopters to pay for the spay/neuter of the cat they want to adopt as we have had so many people say they want a certain cat and then change their minds without even meeting them. We don't have the funds coming in to spay and neuter and we rely on the rescues we work with to handle that part. We do the taming and medicating, and that's hard on us as it is. If paying with a check, the leftover funds will be added to our vet account, if paying with cash we will bring your change back.

Somehow the training stick wasn't added to our Amozon wishlist. It's on there now. We use it to help feral cats get used to being touched

Updated the website with all the cats on it except Kimba and his brother as they will be living out their lives here helping take care of orphaned kittens. We find that male cats make better foster mothers for bottle fed kittens that females do.

Update on kitten, she has a fractured leg, a laceration on her mouth, a fever, and an upper respiratory infection. She was given an antibiotic and pain medication. She will need to be syringe fed until her mouth heals. She's a wild little thing. We're hoping she tames down soon. We need donations to cover her care. We barely have enough to cover everything we need. If anyone would like to donate by PayPal our email is [email protected]

Waiting on the kitten to have two X-rays done. She'll probably need stitches on her lip. It's going to cost us $165.00 We really need all the donations we can get at this point. Needles still isn't done with his vet visits either.

We are in need of a deep dig box for the rats! If anyone has any suggestions please comment. This dig box will be filled with dirt like bedding. Really looking for something glass so it will last. We are also in dire need of funds! If you would prefer to donate items, we'll be posting a list of what use the most later on today. My birthday fundraiser met it's goal, but the expenses keep coming.
