Kentucky Hedgehogs

There's alot of work that goes into breeding hedgehogs. Cleaning cages every 2-3 days, daily feeding, bi-weekly baths with toenail trims, nightly checks for any skin issues, cuddle time for everyone, reviewing pedigrees and making the perfect match, time on social media, talking with potential clients, previous clients, and other breeders.... and the money involved is crazy! I spend $240 a month on fleece, $90 a month on food, too much money on vet visits, gas for transporting...ect. But when you get to cuddle the 3 week old babies, and know that you've created healthy, friendly, and adorable hedgehogs with good bloodlines, it's worth it!

We have babies in the nest. These little nuggets are 2 weeks old and should be ready for their new homes in 4 weeks.
For our people on the wait list, message me for 1st dibs. I'll be posting photos tonight as long as mom is okay with me holding them.

We have 15 day old babies that will be going to their new homes in the next 4 weeks if all goes well. We haven't decided exactly who we are retaining at this point. Message me if you're interested 😊.

We are excited to announce that in the past couple weeks we have put some more pairs together. If all goes well, we will have littles ready for their new families in mid June. Please contact us to be placed on our wait list if you're interested. Posting photos of our last set of babies for your enjoyment.

I borrowed this photo from another breeders page (with permission).
I realize it seems like I'm being picky when I ask about all the details in the cage set up. It's truly because I want your new addition to be safe and to have a long life :).

These wheels are not for hedgehogs. Hogs are too heave for this wheel. The wheel will eventually split down the middle. It can lead to loss of a toe, foot, and possibly sepsis.

If you have any questions about cage set up (regardless of weather your baby came from me or not) please feel free to reach out! I'd love to help you make a safe environment!

We are happy to announce that we have more babies :). They were born today. We have no idea how many as we don't mess with new moms, but, we can hear the babies making noise. Mom, (Attie) came out to eat and drink earlier and seems to be doing well.
This will be her 1st litter so cross your fingers for her and the babies!
Once babies make it to 4 weeks I'll start reaching out to people on the waiting list for first litter picks. If you'd like to join our list message me!

We are happy to announce that we have babies 🤩 They're 5 days old and we have 4 babies. Mom and babies are all well. We won't disturb them or take photos until they're 14 days, so be on the lookout.

We are anxiously awaiting this sweet little girls arrival here in Kentucky. She will be out newest addition to our breeding program. She will not be available for adoption.

We would like to welcome Atti to our breeding program. Atti is not only gorgeous but she has a wonderful temperament. We are hoping that she will be a wonderful mother as well (when she's old enough).

We would like to welcome our newest herd member. Liberty is an 8 week old hedgehog from Blizard Baby Hedgehogs in Michigan. She arrived here in KY last night. We are so excited! She's super friendly and has a great temperament.
Liberty is not for sale, she will be retained here for our breeding program.
