ARGOS, also known as ASOCIACIÓN PROTECTORA ARGOS, is a privately funded animal shelter in Sevilla, Spain that specializes in the rescue and rehabilitation of galgos, podencos, and other dogs in need from the local area, many of whom arrive at the shelter in extremely poor condition and in need of extensive medical care. ARGOS has been in operation for over 10 years and has helped countless animals find health and new homes in Spain, Europe, Canada and the USA. Managed by Beatriz Sanchez-Elvira Ribas, ARGOS has been and continues to be a beacon of hope for many animals in the Sevilla, Spain area. ARGOS works tirelessly to not only provide hands-on assistance to the dogs in its shelter but to advance the idea of compassionate surrender to the many hunters in the area who dispose of their dogs at the end of the hunting seasons.
DIRE NEED: Improvements, renovation and repairs to the structure knows as the “Puppy House” already existing at this location.
The “Puppy House” houses puppies, pregnant bi***es, elderly dogs, and dogs with severe injuries or illness that would be at risk placed with the many dogs in the “general population” of the shelter. Cats residing at the shelter, who need to be sequestered from many of the high prey dogs in residence, are also housed at this structure. Fearful animals who would not thrive in an open environment are housed at this structure. Animals who need to be quarantined or need excessive and/or constant care are housed at this structure.
This structure needs; general repairs (extensive), renovations to make it secure, updating of existing fixtures and other features that are failing or have failed.
Without this structure in a state of complete functionality the many vulnerable residents of this shelter will be at risk. We ask you to please donate to this DIRE NEEDS PROJECT.
