❤️ Penny ❤️
This sweet girl is available for adoption. She is fully vetted (vaccinated and spayed). She is house trained and seems to do good in a crate (at night or when at work). She is good with kids, dogs, and cats!!! But absolutely NO chickens. We are told she is a pointer mix. She is an all-around sweet girl. If you're interested in meeting her, please fill out the application in the attached link. https://form.jotform.com/220300466680145

An update on the doggos from the pound:
We broke them out of jail today and they are safe! A rescue contacted me and is pulling all three! We will be transporting Saturday morning up to Illinois! So how can you help? Their vetting was pretty expensive for us $250.44+$15 (from a previous f***l at a different vet). And as you can see our outstanding balance is quite high (which doesn’t even include momma Hope’s surgery in Jacksonville). If you can help contribute to their care, it helps us pull and save more dogs. You can donate to Arkansas Network IMproving Animal Life through the following links or by calling the vet to make a donation to our rescue (you can reference the rescue and/or Misty Smith or Madi Smith):

EMERGENCY PLEASE HELP
Y’all in the past week we have had 2 separate emergency visits to Pallone Veterinary Hospital. The first was with a dog at a foster who had an intestinal blockage requiring an emergency visit at 3 am. Thankfully she didn’t require surgery but did have a nasty infection that should’ve had her septic. The bill was $1377. Today one of the chihuahuas from the hoarding situation we posted about recently had to have an emergency c-section to save her and the babies. She and the pups are doing well right now thankfully, but that bill was $3500.
Please DONATE if you can! Every dollar helps, and no amount is too small!

Checks can be sent to P.O. Box 913, Sheridan, AR 72150.

FYI a non-emergency c-section costs $2500. The next time you want your female to have “just one litter” be prepared that it could end with her needing a c-section. If you aren’t prepared to pay $2500 to save her life, DO NOT LET HER BREED.

Griffin aims to stop this with their Emergency Pet Club! We’ll be posting more about that soon but check it out yourself on the website.

Huge thank you to Nucor (formerly Centria) in Sheridan! Their employees came together and raised $950 for us and Morning Meadow Animal Rescue! Then Nucor matched that money and bought our rescues dog food! This community is capable of great things, and the support of local businesses means so much to us!

Update: ADOPTED
Alright guys, everybody wants a small dog! We have this cutie pie available! Her name is Ruby (Rue for short). She was born March 29th so she is almost 4 months old. She weighs 20 lbs. Her mom was fully grown at 27 lbs while nursing. We don’t think she will get over 30 lbs.

She is great with kids of all ages including toddlers! She has no problem with other dogs or cats. She is crate-trained and basically potty trained (maybe an accident here or there while adjusting). She is very sweet and timid and loves to cuddle. She is vaccinated and will have to be spayed. Adoption fee is required.

The application link is below if you are interested in adopting her!

Here’s a really great video of the do’s and don’t’s of introducing a newly adopted dog to your dog(s) at home! It can be very stressful for everyone involved when bringing home your newly adopted furbaby (especially if your new baby isn’t a puppy). There are some very important tips in this video that will help lessen the chance of your new baby having to come back to the shelter because of behavioral issues during the first few days, weeks, and/or months.

Who doesn’t like to give back while shopping? By designating our organization as your chosen charity for Amazon Smile, Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of eligible purchases to our rescue! It doesn’t sound like a lot, but it adds up quickly!

If you’re in the app, simply click the three lines in the bottom right hand corner. Then click the icon that says “AmazonSmile.” From there you’ll be asked to select a charity (if you haven’t done so already). If you already have a charity and want to change to ours, just hit the “Change Charity” button. Search for us using “Arkansas Network Improving Animal Life,” and hit Select! Also make sure that the section for Mobile App is turned on by expanding the section and clicking “Turn on AmazonSmile.”

I’ll put a video in the comments or you can message us if you have any trouble!

Please welcome our new girl Liberty to ANImAL! This is the state she was in on Saturday when we got the text. We knew she would die without emergency care, so the Good Samaritan who told us about her offered to take her to Out West Veterinary Urgent Care, Little Rock where she has made massive improvements thanks to the vets there! This isn’t without cost though, and our estimate was for $1500-$1900 dollars. She will likely come home today, and she will also need a foster (or additional donations so that she can go to the boarder for so special treatment while she recovers). Links are below!

According to the vets, best guess is that she is just under a year old. She weighs about 35 lbs right now with a goal weight of about 42-45. She needs some love!

💕If you are interested in fostering this sweet girl, please fill out an application!
🙏🏻If you’d like to donate to her care we REALLY need the help! No amount is too small!

Alright guys, this sweet boy is named Moose. Moose needs to recover from pelvis surgery at a boarder, and we’re hoping some of you kind people would be willing to sponsor a day while he recovers. It’s only $10 a day. Please send via Cashapp or Venmo with “Moose” as the note. You can read his story below.

He was at a foster’s house and escaped and came back limping. We thought it was maybe just a pulled muscle or something. Fast forward and he was supposed to go on transport last week, so we took him to the vet to make sure it wasn’t anything major. Unfortunately that was not the case. It seems as though Moose suffered some kind of trauma that resulted in a fractured pelvis that has unfortunately started to heal incorrectly. 😞 We had no idea it was that bad because he still runs, plays, wrestles, and isn’t showing any evidence of pain. The solution is to do surgery to rebreak the pelvis and put screws in so that it heals properly. Fortunately for Moose, the rescue who had selected him for transport still wants him and is willing to pay for his surgery.

🚨HELP🚨
Guys we are in desperate need of funds. Our bank account is INCREDIBLY low. We had a puppy who needed a blood transfusion to survive, a dog we got with a re**al prolapse who had to be brought back to the vet because she pr*****ed again (picture of her below), and a puppy who was surrendered with an eye issue whose owner said, “If I have to fill out paperwork, I’ll just kill him.” We also have 42, FORTY-TWO, puppies at fosters right now. Our shelter is COMPLETELY full. Anything you can give will help: $2, $5, $10, $100 😉. We appreciate it all.

Suzi showed up in my yard a year and a half ago. She had no tag, but was wearing a faded pink collar. We tried for weeks to find her original owners, posting photos on lost dog Facebook groups, at the vet office, contacting the shelter, and even putting up a photo at the pet adoption booth of Sheridan's Timberfest festival. No one ever responded. At one point months later, I almost gave her away to someone wanting a dog, but she brought me so much joy I was glad when they changed their mind. It was a big adjustment because I'd never owned a pet before, but I'm so glad I have her now. - Lexie ⠀
