Hello! I have had a few questions on what to add to a Rat First Aid kit and I thought I would share what I have in mine. Please keep in mind that some of these are medications that you can purchase online, and some you must have a trusted exotic vet willing to prescribe. Please consult with an exotic vet before diluting or administering any of these medications.
Critical Care

Enrofloxacin (Baytril)
Doxyvet Liquid
Meloxicam (requires vet prescription)
Amoxicillin

Reusable/Disposable medication bottles (picture attached) 10ml, 15mL, 25ml

Terbinafine Hydrochloride (treats ringworm)
MiconaHex + Trix medicated shampoo to treat ringworm
Silver Sulfadiazine Cream 1% (used to soothe skin wounds, requires vet prescription)
URS-10T Urine Test Strips (results require vet diagnostic to formulate treatment plan)
Pen light to look into eyes/mouth
Ofloxacin Opthalmic Solution 0.3% (to treat eye infections, requires vet prescription)
Tweezers
Tums
Kitten/Puppy Revolution (UNDER 5lbs) to treat mites, requires vet prescription
