We are thrilled to announce that Ellie Mae, 40 lb bundle of love, has been adopted into a loving family! With her energetic and loving personality, it was no surprise that she won everyone’s hearts.

We are so grateful to Okanogan Animal Rescue for their incredible support in providing dog food to finders and caretakers of stray dogs in Okanogan County. Your generosity helps ensure that every dog in need is cared for while waiting for their forever home. Team Okanogan also generously paid for Achilles' neuter surgery, helping this gentle giant take one more step toward his bright future.

Meet Achilles: This 2–3-year-old neutered Great Pyrenees has come a long way since being found lost and emaciated earlier this year. Thanks to Brandy Rise, Achilles has learned to trust and feel safe again. He’s now fully vaccinated, kennel-trained, and thriving!

Achilles would do best as a family pet or in a rural setting without chickens or young goats. He’s dog-friendly, adores people, and does great with visiting grandkids. His confidence is growing daily, and he’s ready to find a loving home where he’ll continue to flourish.

HOME TO HOME: Tucker, a 6-year-old Lab/Great Pyrenees mix with a heart as big as his 80-pound frame! Tucker belongs to beloved neighbors in the Chesaw-Molson area with permanent disabling condition. They are no longer able to meet his exercise needs. This decision was made out of love, and they are dedicated to finding Tucker a home that will cherish him as much as they do.

Tucker is neutered, up-to-date on shots, and loves spending time outdoors, but he’s equally fond of cuddling up in his person’s bedroom. He’s a smart boy who uses a bell on the door to let you know he needs to go out. Tucker gets along well with other dogs and lives harmoniously with a cat.

A Few Things to Know About Tucker:
Foodie Habits: Tucker enjoys a mix of dry dog food, treats, and homemade chicken broth with egg.

Grooming Needs: Tucker has long hair that requires maintenance to avoid matting.

So thrilled to share an update from Callin’s new forever mom! Thanks to the incredible support from The Grey Muzzle Organization , Callin, our sweet 13-year-old Chihuahua, received life-changing care, including dental surgery with extractions and a tail amputation, enabling him to live comfortably in his golden years.

But the best news of all? Callin found his perfect new mom! They are inseparable, her words say it all:

"He is doing wonderful! He quickly became my best friend and has warmed up to our family. He is always by my side and loves to sleep with me. He also loves when our monthly bark box comes in!"

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to The Grey Muzzle Organization and to all our supporters for helping Callin find his forever happiness.

A huge thank you to our friends at Animal Foster Care Cat Shelter for taking in two adorable kittens from the Okanogan Highlands! Your willingness to help these young ones find their forever homes means a lot to us.

We failed to grab a picture of the kittens (they had super powers), but we do have this photo of their "housemate," who appears thankful the playful kittens have moved out.

We are so grateful to rescue partner, for taking in mama dog Rhonda and her five cute puppies. And a special thank you to the Omak resident who said, "I found a dog with a litter of puppies, it was cold so I took them in." She lovingly housed them, took them to the vet, and ensured they received the care they needed. Unfortunately, she could not hold them any longer due to her landlord's demands.

Rhonda will stay in Cashmere for further vet care while puppies will enter a new chapter of their lives in the tender care of Humane Society

Incredibly touching to see our community come together to help pets in need. orgs working hand in paw with our community. We can make miracles happen!

Celebrating Wolfie's Gotcha Day!

We rescued Wolfie when he was 10 years old, and today, we’re celebrating his second Gotcha Day in his forever home!

When we first got Wolfie, he badly needed a groom. Thanks to our partner Paws Pet Grooming, Wolfie's mom fell deeply in love and decided to adopt her dream dog.

Wolfie's loving mom says, on his gotcha day "He had a good day with lots of treats." Wolfie enjoys pack walks with the neighborhood dogs and has brought so much joy and love.

Home to Home: Meet Jinx, an 8-month-old German Shepherd who's looking for her forever home. She’s a sweet and energetic pup who was found alone and taken in by a kind young man. Unfortunately, he now has to travel for work and can't care for her. Currently, a disabled family member temporarily looking after Jinx.

Jinx gets along well with smaller animals (lives with a Maltese and a cat) but can be a bit protective around bigger dogs. With the right home, we believe she will thrive.

Home-to-Home Adoption: This connects families looking to rehome pets directly with adopters. Jinx is fully vaccinated, her spay surgery and shots will be covered by her current family. She’s house-trained, loves people, and knows basic commands like sit, lay down, and stay.
