Just a quick announcement:
After being our foster since 17 July 2023, Steve has been adopted and will be headed to his forever family early this afternoon! Wishing him all the best and hoping he has an awesome life!
Here he is this morning eating with Rita and Ava and doing so well... he'll be missed by all here.

And that folks is what we call a success! Look how good he is eating with Rita and Ava! He still makes funny sounds if wet food is involved, but he'll get over that too. In two or three months these guys will all be a year old and switch to adult food. They grow so fast!

It's Monday, hope you all had a nice weekend.
We still have Steve and Tussi with us, and would love to see them get adopted together, so here's another Tussi and Steve video. Steve was sleeping peacefully in this spot, but Tussi wanted to play. This is probably her fourth or fifth pounce (I was slow getting video started) and as you see, she just doesn't give up and he's so good!

Tussi is doing great, feeling great, and going crazy wanting to get out of her room and play with everyone! Her incisions are healing nicely and she should be ready for her forever family Monday, tomorrow 😺 As soon as we get confirmation of the signed adoption contract and payment, she's good to go!
She's changed so much since we first took her in, and we look forward to seeing pictures and getting updates on her as she grows to an adult.

Good afternoon,
Hope you're getting through this crazy weather ok and everyone is safe and warm.
Here is Tussi getting some time out of her recovery pen during her lunch. She is doing great so far and her incisions are healing nicely. As much as she runs, jumps, bounces, climbs, and wrestles around, we're going to keep her confined for a few more days then see how she's doing before deciding when she can go to her forever family.

Good afternoon all, hope you are enjoying your weekend wherever you are.
Little Tussi is scheduled for her vet appointment this Tuesday where she will get her last vaccine booster and be spayed. The rest of the week we'll keep her confined so her incision from surgery can heal properly. Keeping this little girl from bouncing around will be fun as she has some energy! Hopefully by next weekend she'll be healed up enough to go to her forever home.
Since Steve decided to hide during the meet and greet with Tussi, he'll be staying here until another family wants to adopt him.
Great news for Tussi, and hopefully she will be best friends with the kitty her new family already has very soon.
Update on Serrano: she is coming out to greet her new family members and loves/craves their attention. A message from Serrano's new mom said "she is very affectionate, rubbing, licking and eating up the petting" But, the kitty the family already has is not happy about this new intruder in her territory, so there is work still to be done. Hopefully things will work out in time, but as always, on those rare occasions when it just doesn't work out, our kitties are always welcome back with us.

We received this adorable clip from Willow's (formally Greta) adopter and just wanted to share. Hard to believe we trapped this very pregnant girl in March of this year, where she spent her first year of life outside. Now she is spending the rest of her life inside, safe, warm and well loved by her forever family.

Now for an update on Tussi:
She is growing and getting bigger and more confident every day! Born approximately around 15 Sept 2023, she is now 10 weeks old, and her weight is 23.5oz. Her dewormer treatments are now completed, and she'll be receiving her second round of vaccinations for her age tomorrow. She now has full run of the house with all the other kitties during the day, but at night we still confine her to her playpen just to be sure she stays safe. She has had NO accidents and has always found the litter box when needed. She has also mastered the wood staircase, though she still slips on occasion when trying to run up too fast. Our 4 month old foster Steve is her favorite kitty to play with, even though he is three times her size and can get a bit carried away at times, she keeps going back for more 😄
At play she's just as happy playing with a toy by herself as she is playing with the other kitties here in our home. But when it's nap time, she prefers sleeping either on, or very close to one of us, but not a big fan of being picked up and carried around...must be the torti in her.
So, there you have it, but wait, there's more....
We might have an adopter for her already, but things need to be discussed, and paperwork to be filled out, and of course she needs to be spayed once she is big enough. If this doesn't happen, we'll be posting her on the website soon so we can find her a good home.
