Wilford Update 🩶

Wilford is back with us and doing well!!
He had a major dental surgery yesterday. Most of his teeth have been fractured off from living/surviving outside. It was a 2 1/2 hour surgery with 15 bits of teeth/roots removed.

Even though his teeth were probably broken off a long time ago some teeth had the pulp exposed, the Vet did think he was in pain and already feels better after surgery.

They also said they brushed off some scabs off his tail when he was asleep, which could be bothering him, so gave some ointment to treat that. Sounds like they had to cut some stuff off, but cats tails are too small to put sutures in, so it will heal on its own.

This poor guy has been through so much and he really deserves a good home! If anyone is interested in adopting him, please reach out to me or directly to Pause 4 Paws . I can’t thank them enough for helping Wilford with all his medical issues.

I will continue the Wilford fundraiser on my website to try to help P4P pay off some of the cost of everything he has needed. I don’t want to drain so much of their funds since they have so many other kitties and doggies in need.

I got to meet Big Moo this weekend and he donated some wonderful cat nip toys to us!

He has a book published about him, and one was donated for our February raffle basket!

Part two of my yearly "Moo Gives Back" in-purrson donation.😺

This year I donated all the items that were purchased 🧶🌿📗🌈for donation to SNAP't Cat Rescue
(•Spay •Neuter •Action •Plan •Transportation) they are a Minnesota cat rescue with volunteers who strive to keep pets and their families together, whether through low-cost appointments, or providing supplies and transportation. They also offer fostering and adoptions!

The sweet lady, and her family who run SNAP't work tirelessly to save and help as many cats as they can. They even helped rescue a hoarding house situation this summer, with over 80 cats!

They are a newer organization, so I can't think of anywhere better to give all the toys and rainbow kickers, so they have all the fun toys available for their fosters and adoptable kitties and cats! The rainbow kickers that were donated mean SO much to me, I'm so proud to be able to honor and memorialize loved ones, whether they're still here, or have crossed the rainbow bridge🐾🌈, it's an honor for me!

Thank you to everyone who purrchased items to be donated, they will bring playtime and comfort to so many kitties that are awaiting their forever homes 😽😽😽♥️🐾

What better way to start the Moo Year!! I was busy this weekend with my yearly “Moo Gives Back” in-purrson donation.

I’m so happy to say, for the 3rd year in a row, I donated a portion of proceeds from sales to Pause 4 Paws . Not only are they a terrific animal fundraising organization that helps get money where it’s needed most, they also jumped in to help Wilford without hesitation. It hasn’t been a great year for my small business, but with the help of the fundraiser on my website for Wilford, combined with a portion of proceeds I was able to donate what I could, which will go towards paying vet bills for Wilford.

Without even knowing the full extent of what Wilford would need, Pause 4 Paws offered to help us get him to the vet, get neutered, dewormed, and vaccinated. Then we found out that he has severe dental issues, and is scheduled for oral surgery this Wednesday, all of which has and will cost thousands. To try to help them out more, I will continue my fundraiser for Wilford on my website. Any amount will help, and be very much appurreciated!

Wilford has come such a long way and he is such a loving, charming, cat. He deserves the very best! If anyone is interested in adopting him, please contact me or Pause 4 Paws to learn more. I would love if someone I knew adopted him.😺

It’s almost that time of year when we donate a portion of proceeds and toys to a shelter/rescue! 🐈‍⬛🐈

With a new pattern this year.
It means so much to me because when you purchase one you have the option to donate it “in honor of” or “in memory of” a kitty/animal or human, and we will put their name on the tag. Then it will go to a kitty that is waiting for their first forever home or second chance! 😻🌈🖤🐾

Wilford update: 🩶
It’s been 2 weeks now since he was neutered! He’s still upstairs in cat dad’s office, so they get to spend all day together, and meowmy sleeps up there at night. I’ve heard he’s very loving and furriendly! I think he might be spoiled already, because when no one is up there, he just constantly meows by the door.

He’s got some big appointments coming up though. Next week he goes to the vet for an initial checkup for his mouth. Since he’s missing most of his teeth, and the canines have been broken off, they will likely need to be extracted. Then after the new year, he will go in for the actual dental procedure, poor guy!

I know he’s happy to be inside, getting the love he deserves, getting pets, reliable feeding, and warmth! 🍮♥️♨️

After he is all healed up from the dental surgery (and possible eye surgery), he will go to a foster, or even to his forever home!🏡🐈‍⬛

Garage kitty no more! 🎉🐈‍⬛

Wilford was neutered and micro chipped yesterday.
During their exam, they believe he has entropion and possibly might need surgery for that as well as oral surgery for his fractured teeth.😿

He is recovering here with us. The pawrents are/will be spending extra time with him to help socialize and make him feel more comfortable, adjusting. No idea if he’s ever been in a house before, but he’s adapting well so far!
He loves pets, rubbing against them, playing, and of course, my catnip! Thankfully, he doesn’t like Churus 😺😹

He is so sweet, loving, and charming, (just like myself), 😺
If anyone is interested in adopting him, please let me know. (there would be an application and adoption fee) I’m not sure how long it will be before he’s ready, but I really hope he finds a nice, relaxing home with someone who can give him lots of attention and affection.

Update on Wilford (garage kitty)
He went to the vet last Friday, but it didn’t turn out so well. He was so scared, he backed himself into a corner and peed all over himself, poor guy! Yesterday’s visit was much better. (He was dosed with gabapentin Sunday evening and again a few hours before the appointment). He was still nervous at first, but as soon as everyone gained his trust, he just melted. He allowed for blood draw, distemper and rabies shots, mat removal from his tail, and overall exam. Although healthy... he’s missing all his canines and most of his teeth, they were fractured off, either from years of crunching into bones of critters, or fighting in the wild.

Unfortunately, he does have intestinal worms, which he’s being treated for.

Fortunately, he’s negative for FIV and FeLV!
He’s definitely an intact male.

Follow-up in a few weeks to recheck for worms, still needs to be neutered, dental surgery to remove the bits of ground down teeth that he has left, and micro chipped, but some of that may be after he leaves us and is at a foster.

We are grateful for with all these medical issues and issues that were unknown to them before taking him on. Even though they are short on resources at this time as so many animal shelter/fosters/rescues are.

Because we are so grateful and feel bad for these unexpected issues and costs we put together a listing on my website. If anyone would like to help by donating whatever amount that you would like, and please do not feel obligated. Only if you can. Times are tough and I hate asking for any kind of help. There are so many worthy charities that need help this time of year and if you can’t, please don’t feel bad, even sharing could help this little guy out.
Because he doesn’t have really any teeth, the vet could not determine age but thinks he could possibly be as old as 10. 10 years this poor kitty survived cold winters and hot summers. Suffering mouth pain and other ailments. I want nothing but the best for him now, he deserves it. I hope he finds the most loving family that will treat him like gold.

Update: We’ve had this kitty that came to our door for a week now. No chip, no collar, posted in many groups looking for the owner. Honestly, I don’t think he has one. It doesn’t appear that he is fixed, he is missing almost all of his teeth and has some mats. Parents will be taking him to the vet today to find out more of his condition.
If you would like to possibly foster(if we can not find one) or adopt him, please let me know.♥️🐾

If anyone in the Twin Cities area is interested in becoming a foster to a cat or dog in need, please let me know.
As every shelter/ foster is overwhelmed and needs loving people to help make a difference in an animals life♥️🐾
Also, sadly, another kitty came to our door this last Friday. No chip, no collar. We have posted in search for the owner, but no one yet has come forward. This kitty could be one that needs to be fostered.
