It’s almost that time of year when we donate a portion of proceeds and toys to a shelter/rescue! 🐈‍⬛🐈

There’s still time to purchase donation toys! 🌿🧶

My purrsonal favorite is the rainbow🌈 kicker.
With a new pattern this year.
It means so much to me because when you purchase one you have the option to donate it “in honor of” or “in memory of” a kitty/animal or human, and we will put their name on the tag. Then it will go to a kitty that is waiting for their first forever home or second chance! 😻🌈🖤🐾

Wilford update: 🩶
It’s been 2 weeks now since he was neutered! He’s still upstairs in cat dad’s office, so they get to spend all day together, and meowmy sleeps up there at night. I’ve heard he’s very loving and furriendly! I think he might be spoiled already, because when no one is up there, he just constantly meows by the door.

He’s got some big appointments coming up though. Next week he goes to the vet for an initial checkup for his mouth. Since he’s missing most of his teeth, and the canines have been broken off, they will likely need to be extracted. Then after the new year, he will go in for the actual dental procedure, poor guy!

I know he’s happy to be inside, getting the love he deserves, getting pets, reliable feeding, and warmth! 🍮♥️♨️
Thank you to everyone who has donated to help with all his medical expenses that were unexpected when we first took him in😽😽😽

After he is all healed up from the dental surgery (and possible eye surgery), he will go to a foster, or even to his forever home!🏡🐈‍⬛

Garage kitty no more! 🎉🐈‍⬛

Wilford was neutered and micro chipped yesterday.
During their exam, they believe he has entropion and possibly might need surgery for that as well as oral surgery for his fractured teeth.😿

He is recovering here with us. The pawrents are/will be spending extra time with him to help socialize and make him feel more comfortable, adjusting. No idea if he’s ever been in a house before, but he’s adapting well so far!
He loves pets, rubbing against them, playing, and of course, my catnip! Thankfully, he doesn’t like Churus 😺😹

He is so sweet, loving, and charming, (just like myself), 😺
If anyone is interested in adopting him, please let me know. (there would be an application and adoption fee) I’m not sure how long it will be before he’s ready, but I really hope he finds a nice, relaxing home with someone who can give him lots of attention and affection.

Update on Wilford (garage kitty)
He went to the vet last Friday, but it didn’t turn out so well. He was so scared, he backed himself into a corner and peed all over himself, poor guy! Yesterday’s visit was much better. (He was dosed with gabapentin Sunday evening and again a few hours before the appointment). He was still nervous at first, but as soon as everyone gained his trust, he just melted. He allowed for blood draw, distemper and rabies shots, mat removal from his tail, and overall exam. Although healthy... he’s missing all his canines and most of his teeth, they were fractured off, either from years of crunching into bones of critters, or fighting in the wild.

Unfortunately, he does have intestinal worms, which he’s being treated for.

Fortunately, he’s negative for FIV and FeLV!
He’s definitely an intact male.

Follow-up in a few weeks to recheck for worms, still needs to be neutered, dental surgery to remove the bits of ground down teeth that he has left, and micro chipped, but some of that may be after he leaves us and is at a foster.

We are grateful for with all these medical issues and issues that were unknown to them before taking him on. Even though they are short on resources at this time as so many animal shelter/fosters/rescues are.

Because we are so grateful and feel bad for these unexpected issues and costs we put together a listing on my website. If anyone would like to help by donating whatever amount that you would like, and please do not feel obligated. Only if you can. Times are tough and I hate asking for any kind of help. There are so many worthy charities that need help this time of year and if you can’t, please don’t feel bad, even sharing could help this little guy out.
Because he doesn’t have really any teeth, the vet could not determine age but thinks he could possibly be as old as 10. 10 years this poor kitty survived cold winters and hot summers. Suffering mouth pain and other ailments. I want nothing but the best for him now, he deserves it. I hope he finds the most loving family that will treat him like gold.

Update: We’ve had this kitty that came to our door for a week now. No chip, no collar, posted in many groups looking for the owner. Honestly, I don’t think he has one. It doesn’t appear that he is fixed, he is missing almost all of his teeth and has some mats. Parents will be taking him to the vet today to find out more of his condition.
If you would like to possibly foster(if we can not find one) or adopt him, please let me know.♥️🐾

As every shelter/ foster is overwhelmed and needs loving people to help make a difference in an animals life♥️🐾
Also, sadly, another kitty came to our door this last Friday. No chip, no collar. We have posted in search for the owner, but no one yet has come forward. This kitty could be one that needs to be fostered.

Cooked our Halloween pumpkin(s) and seeds to feed the squirrels and other outside friends. It’s not only a nutritious snack for them, but it makes for a great cat TV!😺Make sure there is no chemicals or paint on the pumpkin (some hoomans bleach their pumpkins) so please don’t use those.Squirrels have to constantly eat to stay warm during winter. also providing water is very important during winter months 🐿️🐇🦝🦉🐦‍⬛♥️

Our “guest” is reunited with his family….

After seeing this cat on our cameras walking through our yard at all hours of the night.

After we got him settled where he would be safe, warm with food, water and litter, we posted on several apps and groups to search for the owner. We also took him to the vet to get scanned for a microchip, no chip was found!🙀

Luckily, someone we know recognized the cat andd contacted us and the owners, so we were able to reunite them!

But sadly, we learned that they let him out all the time😿. And you know, I have a problem with this!
So many dangers! Predators, cars, weather, unkind humans. Not to mention this is a beautiful cat, and many people would have just kept him and not looked for the owner. Sadly, one day, their cat won’t make it home, and then they will care.

Please don’t let your cat out freely. There are so many safer ways for them to enjoy the outdoors.
No matter if your cat is indoor only or indoor/ outdoor, please, please make sure they are microchipped with up-to-date contact information (if you moved or any information has changed, update).

My pawrents went to the annual Pause 4 Paws gala last night, as they were a proud sponsor of them once again this year! They were going to bring Chompy (and not me😼), but last minute decided not to.

Happy Meow-O-ween 🎃🦇👻🕷️

Halloween tips and reminders for your hoomans to ensure our safety and stress 🖤🧡

Halloween is fun and spooky for hoomans, but it can be just spooky for us cats! 🙀
Nothing more scary than one of us getting out when the door is open🚪🐈‍⬛ for trick-or-treaters! Please be mindful and put your cats in a different room if there’s any fear they can escape.
Knocking on the door, doorbell, and kids screaming can also cause us a lot of anxiety! Serving up some catnip 🌿🌿🌿before trick-or-treating starts can help keep us calm.
Eating catnip causes a relaxing sensation and we’ll just chill out. If we inhale or sniff it, it can encourage a good play session that will wipe us out, then put us in our own space and we’ll take a nap!💤

Candy! 🍭🍬
Don’t leave candy out, especially chocolate🚫🍫, as it’s toxic to us! Be sure to put away your little hooman’s candy at night, none of us want an emergency trip to the vet!🙀

Hazardous decorations🕯️
As you know, everything is a toy for us! That includes dangly decoration, power cords, and our tails have a mind of their own when it comes to candles and flame...we just can’t help it!🐾🐾🐾
