🐾 Meet Nate, Henry, & Oliver 🐾
Labrador Retriever, Golden Retriever, & Terrier mix (2, 3, & 10 y/o)

"You’ve met my two Labrador Retrievers, Bowdie and Clyde, like four times. Sadly, Bowdie passed in November 2022, and Clyde in April this year. 💔 Now, we have Nate, Clyde’s great-grandnephew, Henry who we adopted in December, and Oliver, our little Mystery Terrier. Henry and Oliver both came from Animal Haven and are adjusting to the family perfectly. 🐶❤️

Oliver, who we found on the side of the Cross Island Parkway, is named after Oliver Quick from the movie Saltburn (though I haven’t seen it). His character is weirdly obsessed with another character, just like our Oliver is with Nate. 😄 After Clyde passed, I felt the need to adopt an older dog, and with some encouragement, we found Oliver at Animal Haven. It's always important to support local rescue organizations doing amazing work.

All dogs are great, but there’s something truly special about your own dogs. 🐾💖"

🐾 Meet Mango, a 3.5-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi from NYC! 🍍 Mango is usually shy around strangers, but offer him a treat and you’ll win his heart. 🍖 His humans say he’s 15% longer than the average Corgi, and with a name like Mango (his sister is Coconut!), he’s definitely tropical fruit-inspired. 🥭 This sassy pup has a clever trick—he’ll keep an eye on you until he gets his post-meal dental chew! 😏

🐾 Meet Rudy, a mischievous 4-year-old mix from Little West & 2nd Pl. in NYC! 🗽 His shelter name was Rudolph, but now he’s a treat-loving pickpocketer, always sneaking into people’s pockets. 😂 Whether it’s treats, tissues, or random finds, Rudy keeps everyone on their toes. Having him has been the perfect excuse to get outside and explore! 🐶❤️

📍 Central Park, New York, NY 🐾 Meet Aspen, our 4-year-old Husky mix! 🐾

"She’s a rescue – they told us her mom was a full Husky, and we’re not sure about the other half. We think she might have some Berger Picard in her because she looks a lot like them. Aspen’s from Utah – I got her when I was working as a ski instructor there. She has a big personality, does some Husky howling, and loves to jump fences. Off-leash, she listens pretty well. She sleeps in the bed with me, and I love having her around." ❤️

Walking Mila, the 2.5 y/o Goldendoodle, around 2nd & 2nd Ave, NYC is a joy! 🐾 I take her to the dog run at 12:30, then we explore new places. 🐶 Losing my Golden, Cosmo, was tough, but becoming Mila's walker brought me happiness. 😊 Don't tell her owners, but it's pure pleasure for me! ❤️

🐾 Meet Blue, the 6-year-old Australian Shepherd from NYC! This devoted herding pup keeps his family close - sometimes too close! 😅 From accidentally snacking on metal at Dad's art studio to "herding" the kids on the lawn, Blue's always on duty. But at the end of the day, he's the perfect stress-buster. Pets just make everything better, don't they? 🐶❤️

Meet Khaleesi, our sweet French Bulldog! 🐶 She had a little veggie mishap recently. I left my hearty soup with lots of veggies unattended, and she gobbled them up so fast she didn’t even chew! Poor girl threw them all up later. Lesson learned! 😅

Today in Central Park, we met Salem, a 4-year-old mixed breed with a story that'll make your day!
🏙️ Originally from L.A., this speedy pup now calls New York home
🦸‍♀️ Rescued and adopted by a family who always chooses shelter dogs
🏃‍♀️ Runs so fast she's been nicknamed "the kangaroo"
🐿️ Has a adorable obsession with squirrels (watch out, Central Park critters!)
🕵️‍♀️ Master of hide-and-seek with household items
Salem's human shared: "If you could just see her run, she's as fast as could be, almost like a kangaroo. She's jonesing for a squirrel. If you're missing anything at home, she's got it. Once she owns it, she'll hide it."
But the real treasure? The loyalty of shelter dogs like Salem. ❤️
