I was going to marry the love of my life, but I yelled, "I DON'T!" at my wedding. Everyone at the church was stunned. My groom was shocked. MY DAUGHTER BROUGHT ME THIS FROM HER DAD'S SUITCASE AND I NEARLY FAINTED.

My husband just got back from a work trip, dropped his stuff by the door, and went straight to the yard to do whatever. Next thing I know, our daughter Emma all excited is bolting towards me, something clutched in her little hands.

Emma: Mommy, guess what I found in Daddy's bag!
Me: What's that, honey?
Emma: Cosmos pictures!
Me: Wow, cool, let me see!

But the moment she handed it over, I felt I was losing consciousness. It wasn't any space photo. It was an ultrasound picture with "Hi Daddy, I'm coming soon. T 🖤" written on it. Just like that, my world flipped upside down.

"I'm a terrible granddaughter. Raised as an only child, I had everything I wanted. We lived richly and beautifully, and my sick grandmother did not fit into my picture of an ideal life. I was ashamed of her.

So when the time came for my lavish wedding, I decided not to invite my grandmother to it. To my surprise, she refused to come herself, saying she wasn't feeling well. I was genuinely glad that I didn't have to tell her she wasn't invited.

But on the day of the wedding, she showed up on my doorstep holding a chest. I was furious. How could she? I told my in-laws that my grandmother was sick. I didn't want her to ruin the picture of my family.

But she handed me that chest as a gift and soon left. I threw away the gift because its shabby appearance irritated me. After that day, I never spoke to my grandmother again.
