This face š Always there š
Iām sure heās still growing!! Is this possible?? He is huge!! ā¤ļø
Fred doing his bit to reduce our energy bills. He wears a blanket well!! š„°
Itās cold and wet outside, so I have refused my afternoon walk and decided to sleep instead. š§ š
Itās been a good day, long walk, sardines and I didnāt need to be hosed off, although I do have some mud on my undercarriage but mum didnāt spot that until later and then it was too late!! Freddie 1 - Mum 0 šš
Freddie the working boy, doing outreachā¦ā¦working on tracking down rough sleepers to offer much needed help. š
This little lady taught all our pups to respect the feline. She was fierce in her approach and our dogs soon learnt to not mess with a cat. Unfortunately today, she lost her battle with cancer at 14 years. She was the best all round cat and we will all miss her dearly.. š
Fred & Coās Christmas ā¤ļø
Heās in there somewhere!! š¤
Me??? Dig??
Advice please, Fred is amazing but recently heās seems very hyper, pacing all day, not settling, always trembling. Heās getting exercise, brain games but heās not settled. Nothing has changed in his routine. Heās hasnāt done anything wrong but we sense something isnāt right. Any ideas? š
Another one of those exploding beds!! This ar****le wonāt even make eye contact!! Took the cover off to wash, looked againā¦and this!! Itās just as well we love the bu**er!! š
You wouldnāt think it but fireworks terrify Fred. All this week his anxiety levels have gone though the roof. He goes from a trembling wreck to manic, unfortunately this resulted in him attacking Dexter one of our other pups, he wasnāt injured, just shook up. We went through this previously and itās almost a year to the day it happened last time. Lots of cuddles (for both), reassuring and keeping them both safe. Canāt wait for the fireworks to stop and we can return to normal and not have to constantly watch them both. ā¤ļø
So Fred had his first trip away from home, with the other two obviously. We struggled to find boarding for all 3 but then found a local gun dog trainer who boards. It was no frills but they were well looked after and spent the days out and about with him and his dogs. He even started training them and was impressed with Freddieās willingness to learn. He insisted on crating at night something we have never done but all 3 were put in together, we were concerned but they were so tired at the end of the day he didnāt hear a peep out of them. It was clear when we collected them they all loved their carer. Now concerns have been put to rest about going away again. They are however shattered and we will continue the training he has started. ā¤ļø
Ongoing training but recall is pretty awesome!!
Good night ā¤ļø
Today I have mostly been Dorisās pillow. A 3 hour walk exhausts us!! ā¤ļø

Let sleeping dogs lie!! Fred & Doris ā¤ļø
A year today we met and took you home. What a year!!
I first saw you on a rescue page and took a screen shot, something about you connected with me. Showed your photo to the family who all said you looked adorable. Then I couldnāt find you. No amount of google image searching could locate you either. It wasnāt meant to be. š¢ Then up you popped again. This time I saved the post. Spoke to the family who while agreed you were gorgeous, were equally dubious about taking on a third dog, and a rescue. However it was conceded we would apply for this boy and see what happened. The application was sent and I was informed he was a popular boy, and why not? He was adorable. Even the Fosterer was contemplating keeping him. I was happy with this, as long as he had a happy home, I too was happy. Time passed and I was contacted for an interview, and it was!! An hour on the phone (lockdown) and I was shortlisted. Then a video of our home and it was arranged for a meet up. The rest is history. It hasnāt been easy, weāve had ups and downs but even throughout these we have always loved this boy and wanted what was right for him. I hope this is still the case.
Fred is our first rescue, and no doubt not our last. He has enriched our lives although he is an ar****le. We believe and hope he is finally settled. Thereās still work to be done, heās reactive on the lead but great off? He loves cat poo, not sure we can train him to stop eating it š¤¢!! Heās full on and oversteps the mark with our other two daily but itās now managed.
A big thank you to all involved in his rescue and ultimately bringing him to us.
Freddie you have enriched our lives and we love you so so much, you are crazy, goofy, uncoordinated but so unbelievably loveable.
Never stop being Fred you are our world. ā¤ļø
This is my ābeing an ar****leā face. Racing round like a hooligan at 6am nearly taking me out!! However when he apologises with this look, itās hard not to forgive!! ā¤ļø
And then this happened....whoād of thought 6 months ago theyād be sharing a bed, although Iām not sure Dexterās 100% comfortable with this arrangement!! šš
The biggest of our dogs (Fred) in the smallest of our baskets!! š
Exhausted after a 3 hour walk. ā¤ļø
ā¤ļø
Freddieās first Pointer Group walk. He behaved impeccably, recall was best of the group, didnāt react to men. He had the best time and we are so very proud of him. ā¤ļø
Can you love a pup too much? This boy is just the best. Heās still nervous, reactive but also so trusting and together we overcome the other issues. Freddie, my best friend. ā¤ļø
You can take the boy out of Cyprus but you canāt take Cyprus out of the boy!! If the suns out Freddieās out sunbathing. š
Sunday snuggles š„°
Throw the bloody ball then!! š¾
So they all had a new toy.....Freddieās not great with sharing and has collected all 3. š
Poor Freddie is feeling very sorry for himself. He had his yearly vaccinations today, which in itself is distressing for him. He also had a full health check up too and it transpires he has to have some teeth removed (explains his halitosis š) his roots are exposed and damaged. The vet says he has suffered at some point a trauma to his jaw likely caused by a hard kick or kicking. What this poor boy has gone through at the hands of humans and yet he is the most loving and trusting dog. Iād like to think karma will get those who mistreated him. š
I love all my pups but this boy has a special place in my heart. ā¤ļø
After 9 months he finally sleeps deeply without waking and checking where he is. Heās also started dreaming....I hope these are happy dreams of the memories heās created with us
