A year today we met and took you home. What a year!!
I first saw you on a rescue page and took a screen shot, something about you connected with me. Showed your photo to the family who all said you looked adorable. Then I couldnāt find you. No amount of google image searching could locate you either. It wasnāt meant to be. š¢ Then up you popped again. This time I saved the post. Spoke to the family who while agreed you were gorgeous, were equally dubious about taking on a third dog, and a rescue. However it was conceded we would apply for this boy and see what happened. The application was sent and I was informed he was a popular boy, and why not? He was adorable. Even the Fosterer was contemplating keeping him. I was happy with this, as long as he had a happy home, I too was happy. Time passed and I was contacted for an interview, and it was!! An hour on the phone (lockdown) and I was shortlisted. Then a video of our home and it was arranged for a meet up. The rest is history. It hasnāt been easy, weāve had ups and downs but even throughout these we have always loved this boy and wanted what was right for him. I hope this is still the case.
Fred is our first rescue, and no doubt not our last. He has enriched our lives although he is an ar****le. We believe and hope he is finally settled. Thereās still work to be done, heās reactive on the lead but great off? He loves cat poo, not sure we can train him to stop eating it š¤¢!! Heās full on and oversteps the mark with our other two daily but itās now managed.
A big thank you to all involved in his rescue and ultimately bringing him to us.
Freddie you have enriched our lives and we love you so so much, you are crazy, goofy, uncoordinated but so unbelievably loveable.
Never stop being Fred you are our world. ā¤ļø
