This bonded pair is so cute 😍. Sorrel 13 hand gelding & gray mare mid 20s about 15.2. Gray mare very sweet and calm, gelding a little more shy. Must stay together and come with a contract.

Remember tag 1830? This old man needs a soft landing. Estimated mid 20's and not much teeth left. He is on an alfalfa mash. He is truly a gentleman. Great on the ground and I would bet he is broke!!!! He has a hole in his cheek that will be sutured at the vet. He also has a lump on his right side that needs to be looked at.

Max is a beautiful 14 year old Tennessee Walker mare, possibly gaited. She has had her feet done since the video in comments. Max is super sweet, she loves treats, leads great, knows back up, lifts her feet, I would bet she is broke to ride.

Remember the Butt Cut horse, well here he is all healed up and feeling fresh. This boy is very young, estimated 2 to 3 years of age. He is the sweetest boy and I think I might have given him his first apple oat treat 😉. You can barely see his scar on his left hind. He wasn't sure about the halter but as you can see in the video (in the comments) it wouldn't take much.
He was having stud behaviors so he was separated from other horses. He will be evaluated soon to see why. Update: he was gelded Friday 3.29.24

Meet Karma 🤩 This beautiful roan gelding is only about 4 years old. He has had it rough in his short life. Has an old left eye ulceration and is off in his hind end. He was treated for epm but this did not resolve this issue. He smiles for treats and seemed to enjoy attention as long as there was no halter close to his face.

Check out this Gorgeous 😍 Arabian mare! CHECK OUT THAT STRIPE! She is estimated to be about 15 to 20 years old, acts way younger. She did not appear to be lame, was in good weight with good feet (has been trimmed since this video), very nervous but approachable. This girl will be your best friend in no time.

"Les"

Remember the 8yr old stud that was dumped at Bowies K*ll Pen because he had a massive life threatening injury to his shoulder ? It was so bad looking at it your mouth fell to the floor in shock. He was dumped at Bowies because at the age of 8 years old no one had invested time into him to even halter train him.. so the unfortunate outcome was that when he obtained an injury, no one could catch him or treat him and he was a danger .. the only option in their mind was to send him to sale barn to become someone else's problem, a problem they created?? So they collected that couple hundred bucks for him and off they went, no looking back. Did he ship to Mexico ?? They didn't care... as far as they know he's dead. So BH family did what we do best and we clean up other peoples dirt for the benefit of that animal. Many rescues would hv put this guy down, due to the astronomical fees involved, in-fact some rescues even use a point system (they created) to evaluate horses who should be euthanized, and if that horse hits those points, we'll throw him in the incinerator. And off he goes to die again.. ?? 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
Points for not being halter broke, points for being a stud, points for being dangerous, points for over a certain age, points for having to invest to much time to retrain , this horse would hv been dead again, BH and our followers believe in a New Life and second chances for the less fortunate .. is it good financial decision for the rescue side ?? No , no it's not, let's be honest, but sometimes the outcome of an amazing story and a new journey outweighs those financial decisions.. and that were BH rests its case . This is why we hv hard time coming up with funds for a deposit on our own QT property, because we talk in cases that others turn a eye to.
"The Stiud" with the shoulder injury, is now know as "Les" , he was named after being at outlaw equine for several months, the name Les was chosen in Memory of a very special lady, who helps maintain this page named Michelle, Michelle's father Les passed away and the stud needed a name, so Les it was, two beautiful souls share this name.

Les stayed at outlaw equine for several months, let's not even talk about the financial aspect of it, that's also a mouth dropper., but during the stay at Outlaw, Les was deemed a difficult case, he had to be placed into a chute and sedated to treat his injuries, many many times. Over this time period he became more and more use to human touch, and eventually became halter broke, he gained a ton of weight and his unhealthy dull coat, shedded out and in came a shiny new gleaming coat. Les later became a gentleman and he was gelded during his stay. He is awaiting his forever home with a new family who can keep teaching him new things and better his life . His shoulder is healed, he has a slight
scar and there is no permanent damage. Thank you to BH followers and donors, his life went on and he received the medical care he greatly needed and can be introduced into a herd environment without the possibility of bringing unneeded lives into the world. His nick name should be "squirrel" look at those cheeks! This large cheeks are due to the fact he has has so much tearoste his his body for years.

UPDATE: These two have become quite the couple! They are still available for a special home who understands their medical needs. Both are on daily medications. Bay gelding in his mid 20's, bad left front knee, halter broke, super sweet. Black Mare, mid 20's founder case, still requires special trims to slowly correct as much as possible. Adorable, beautiful, sweet pair who deserve a soft landing.

These two have bonded like no one's business ❤️ they love each other madly .. we are seeking a home for the pair- the sorrel is tag 655 that was dumped by fundraisers Angela V. And Judy C. They dumped and left him on Lawrence after they bailed and couldn't find anyone to take him, he's arthritic in the knee, he was in need of meds and medical care when we decided to take him over from Lawrnce, who was stuck with him. it wasn't fair he was abandoned and left in limbo, to the horse or Lawrence, the black horse is a foundered horse we pulled from aucrion awhile back, and it has taken forever to get his feet, back to normal, they are both the sweetest, and we continue to pay $1300 a month just to support these 2. They deserve a home to roam and remain best friends. If you would like to enjoy a couple of beautiful creatures to love on please text me 530-957-5229

This beautiful mare was dumped off to the lot last week, if your looking for a trail rider, a GOOD quiet kids horse around the ranch this is her!
She has a small cut just above the coronary band. And a small wound that looks like she rubbed her leg on the side of something, a little cleaning up and she's ready to hit trails. Photos of them are available by request if you text the phone number above.
