Absolutely love this picture of King Stoffel!

We catch a magical moment of 'primalness'.

He is part of the Newlands pack and has been part of the What's Up Dog since the beginning. He has established himself as leader of the pack and is hugely integral in aiding me keep everyone safe and under control.

He is extremely expressive both vocally and physically and has phenomenal recall. He even offers a cheeky smile when he knows he's pushed the boundaries.

Coupled with his strength and assertiveness, he is caring, empathic, and always down to join a zoomies session.

🌱☀️ Gooooood morning ☀️🌱 Had some fun in the forest yesterday morning. A beautiful open, peaceful space to explore. A big pack: Harvey, Frits, Bonnie, Wolfie, Griffon, Lollos, and Lettie. 🐕 Although having so many friends to adventure with is amazing, it can be tricky to navigate and manage the pack on the walks. 😅 Compliance and behaviour are two fundamental aspects that I focus on to ensure safety and fun are maximised! Here are 2 very cool ways I use to help me cover my bases: - Whistling - The doggies have become accustomed to being rewarded with treats and/or cuddles whenever they hear me whistle. This is known as positive reinforcement. This becomes habitual and rewards are not necessary all the time. This takes a bit of time and a lot of patience 😂 - Direction Changes - This is done by simply walking in a different direction. It is effective when the doggies have run off ahead of you. I say nothing and keep walking. Here the goal is to grab attention. Making sure they pay attention to me is hugely important for compliance on the walks. One or two of them will spot me before the rest of them and run in my direction. The others will notice and follow accordingly. It helps knowing that the pack mentality works for you which motivates them to avoid separation and seclusion. 🐕🐕 It definitely helps to know your pack members and their different personalities and where they stand in the pack hierarchy!
