The pack enjoyed playing in the yard after Beryl passed over the Bungalow. That ‘fat boy’ is red & white Tortilla! Can you believe how he can run now? He couldn’t walk /waddle 10 feet without collapsing to catch his breath when he came in a couple months ago. He has lost over 10 pounds and should be ready for adoption soon!
Busy day at the bungalow with volunteers working and visitors here to love on the beagles. By dinner time everyone was dead asleep! Never had to wake the pack up to eat before! 🤣🤣🤣
Happy 11th Birthday to Poco! She loves her naps but still takes patrolling the yard as a serious mission. Once this girl finds a good scent, she stays with it!! She then alerts everyone of her find! She enjoys a comfy bed inside after years of being a yard dog. Wishing many more years of following your nose!!
Here is a video of one old lady teaching how to fill a hole with her handy dump wagon!!
Happy 16th Birthday to Holly!!!
Holli’s Mom is working overseas so she came to live at The Bungalow. She does sleep alot but still enjoys a good stroll around the yard. She loves cookie time and always pops up when fresh water is put out! Wishing her many more!!
Lydia is looking good. Morning weigh in was 19.8! 7 pounds and shiny coat makes for a new girl! TLC is a specialty at The Beagle Bungalow!
Jordy was splashing all the water out of a water bowl. She immediately ran to the wading pool when told to go play in the swimming pool! Beagles still surprise me at how much they understand!!
Typical Evening in The Bungalow: When the two 8 month old pups start to play, 7 y/o Dallas joins right in. Dallas is young at heart and can easily take on Milo while Sage watches! Seniors BeBe and Sophie head for the door! Forbes, who is almost 16, makes his slow way to the door. He always pauses to make sure his path is clear whenever he heads out of the dog door! Eve rarely joins in but isn’t bothered by the action!
Beagles are ‘deaf’ when called if on the scent but they come a running when they hear the word Cookie! Festus had been in that back yard when he heard the call of Cookie Time. He already made it through the gate by the time the cell phone could capture his joy! Not bad for an 11year old!
This is Lydia. She is 12 years old and in pathetic shape. She will need a couple weeks to correct the effects of malnutrition, anemia and heart worms have caused before she can even get a spay! She will very likely be the next permanent resident of the Beagle Bungalow. We need reoccurring monthly donations to continue our mission of providing sanctuary to these beagle who need us. Please go to BeagleBungalow.org. And click on the donate link. As little as $10.00 per month will make a difference.
Foster Update: Jordy is fully recovered from her fractured pelvis! Here she is playing chase with 1 y/o Sissy. She will be ready for adoption soon. She is still pretty skittish around people
How the younger beagles stay in shape!
