The Beagle Bungalow, Inc. The purpose of the Beagle Bungalow is to provide sanctuary for rescued beagles and hounds in need of long term care due to age and/or medical conditions.

TBB will also provide boarding, assessment and training for beagles waiting for a HBHR foster home.

With no animal control in all of Liberty County, the stray animal population in Cleveland is awful. A Beagle Angel tries to feed as many as she can each day. She spotted two beagle mixes and contacted Houston Beagle Rescue for help. Holly & Ivy will be staying at the Bungalow wile they are re-socialized and healthy again. They are very protective of their space but adjusting to being in a 'safe' pack of hounds. It is wonderful to see them starting to play!

Beagles never grow up. They keep their inner puppy alive into their senior years. Like puppies they also know how to crash when it is time to recharge their batteries! 8 y/o Shelby spends most of the day chasing from tree to tree baying at the squirrels she spots. She also enjoys a comfy spot inside for a quick nap! Life is good at the Beagle Bungalow!!

Happy Thanksgiving! I am thankful for all the volunteers that help care for and find new homes for our beagles. The Beagle Bungalow couldn't do all of this work for homeless hounds without their hours of devoted service. Here is a poem to remind us all why we care so much for these precious souls!

We still have 5 beagles from the large pack rescued early summer 2023. Two of the boys are welcoming pets from volunteers but are still shy around people. Two are still too skittish that taking a treat from their main caregiver is a great achievement! Socializing these feral dogs takes a long time and a ton of patience. Amos has the lighter coloring in this picture. He loves pets and will seek you out; which is good for Eve and Cyrus to see.

You always wonder what one of the pack has rolled in when others are giving him a good sniff! Martin is only 10 months old but has learned his pack manners well. He doesn’t seem to mind Frankie, Shelby and Dallas invading his personal space!!!

Sunday morning choir practice!

This video may not have a lot of action but Booker is showing off how well he can walk now that his weight is coming off. When he arrived he couldn’t walk 6 feet without collapsing!

It is wonderful to see how quickly a couple of hounds can bond. Simon is a chunk at 38 pounds but will trim down in no time wrestling with his best friend Sadie who weighs 70!! They have only known each other for two days!!!

The pack enjoyed playing in the yard after Beryl passed over the Bungalow. That ‘fat boy’ is red & white Tortilla! Can you believe how he can run now? He couldn’t walk /waddle 10 feet without collapsing to catch his breath when he came in a couple months ago. He has lost over 10 pounds and should be ready for adoption soon!

Busy day at the bungalow with volunteers working and visitors here to love on the beagles. By dinner time everyone was dead asleep! Never had to wake the pack up to eat before! 🤣🤣🤣

Happy 11th Birthday to Poco! She loves her naps but still takes patrolling the yard as a serious mission. Once this girl finds a good scent, she stays with it!! She then alerts everyone of her find! She enjoys a comfy bed inside after years of being a yard dog. Wishing many more years of following your nose!!

Happy 16th Birthday to Holly!!! Holli’s Mom is working overseas so she came to live at The Bungalow. She does sleep alot but still enjoys a good stroll around the yard. She loves cookie time and always pops up when fresh water is put out! Wishing her many more!!
