Here is a baby that hatched today. Although I'm not breeding right now and decided to get rid of my collection. I decided I was going to keep the two surprise eggs from Gilly. I must say she made a nice looking baby. Now waiting for it's clutch mate to hatch.

What makes a Crested Gecko breeder quality. On the left you will notice in this drawing the Gecko has a big head, wider crest, and wider dorsal. On the right in this drawing you will notice the gecko has a slender head this is called a bald crest, long snout, and thin dorsal this is very undesirable in the Gecko community which would be considered pet quality and not breeder worthy. When you breed these animals. You will want to make sure they're both quality breeders with the quality mentioned. Some aim for structure of the gecko then later they work on color contrast and patterning. You can have a beautiful pet quality gecko with great pattern but lacks structure. I believe this can be ruled out over time through the offspring. That's if you breed with a higher quality animal with better head structure. Whenever you breed always have a plan and goal in mind before just throwing two animals together.

My cute little wild child. Yes this baby is a wild caught Geyri yellow Uromastyx. A huge shipment went through with these babies. Always do your research when acquiring a new exotic pet.. There are plenty of reputable breeders out there. Ask questions about where the animal came from if it's a CBB or a WC if a wild caught animal is what you ended up with try your best to stimulate it's natural habitat and make a vet trip to check for parasites and overall health. These are some interesting specimens but I do not recommend them for beginners. I finally got this baby to eat some greens and lentils and properly setup with heat and uvb. Still a little spooked of me but he has eaten from my hands so that's progress.
