I had the privilege of working on some rehab horses at the Denali Farrier Pros facility in Weatherford. Each horse had different issues I was able to address. The cryotherapy helps reduce inflammation and each horse really benefited from fascia work. This facility believes in a whole horse approach and the horses are given their best chance at recovery!
At the end of the sessions I had the farriers and the vet also get some work done. It benefits everyone!

EQUINE SLEEP!
Horses need adequate sleep to prevent sleep deprivation. Consider the weather, insulation to prevent drafts, deep bedding, amount of space, and their physical health conditions.

Foaling season is one of the best seasons of the year! Being established with your veterinarian and being prepared for foaling is crucial.
See the list below and know your 1, 2, 3 of foaling:
❤️ 1. Foal should be standing by 1 hour.
❤️ 2. Foal should be nursing by two hours.
❤️ 3. Placenta should be dropped by three hours. Be sure to save (out of the way of animals) for your vet to inspect to be sure all is present.

What is a Pedunculated Lipoma?
A Pedunculated Lipoma is a fatty mass originating from the connective tissue of the intestine. Over time they may grow and stretch out- wrapping around the intestine strangulating it. This is just one reason a horse with colic may need surgery.
