Biggest Morning Tea: A fundraising event for Cancer Research.
Join us tomorrow at 10am for one of our wonderful events here at the house. There will be cakes, snacks, scones, games, fun and of course, there will be tea (or coffee if you prefer)..
$5 entry.... $2 per game, so come along for some fun.

Don't forget the vaccination clinic is here too, so get a shot and then eat something hot.. see you at 10am..

I decided to catch Nik up on a later walk and found this cute "first." You can hopefully spot these two little frogs in our drinking bowl at the Sacred Point of Savour. There were three when I first looked and I promptly decided against disturbing them. What a delightful moment!

Oh my goodness! Nik actually got a little damp somewhat voluntarily this morning. I will take care not to either feed him after midnight or subject him to bright light. Anything could happen!

The dog walking group. One of the things we do on this group is celebrate the dogs' birthdays. The group is a little community of people from diverse backgrounds and interests who come together because they are interested in the welfare of their dogs.

We have different opinions on all sorts of things, some of us are quiet, some of us are outspoken. Some of us contribute to the community in all sorts of ways, volunteering at op shops, being politically active or just caring for other people. We are mostly retired, teachers, artists, community workers and the rest. We probably would not come together in other circumstances but our dogs bring us together.

Jac gets so excited when we arrive at the park and she sees the other dogs. Like any group there are always isms and ams, but we come together for the dogs, for a sense of community and because in the group we can find others that we relate to. Dogs do that, they bring people together who probably would otherwise not talk to each other. We need to celebrate that more.
